TAKTICS Mod Returns for Red Alert 3

Derelict Studios has announced that the TAKTICS mod will be making the jump to Red Alert 3. This mod, set in the Mario universe, was originally a total conversion for Yuri's Revenge.

 

The Awakened Kingdom: The Initial Chaotic Strike or TAKTICS for short, formally a Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge total conversion, returns in Red Alert 3. This total conversion introduces a brand new story, three new and completely different factions, new infantry and vehicles to crush your enemies with, new buildings to create your methods of destruction and, of course, new terrain to play in.

 

Have we mentioned that this TC takes place in the Mario universe?

I've never played or heard of the previous version of this mod before but this looks quite entertaining

I've sorta been interested in this mod ever since it was first announced a while back, but never actively followed. I'm worried that all the issues with the mod sdk will hinder this mod - but good luck to them. Apparently they see the merit in the switch.

Of course the cartoony world of Mario and RA3 *does* seem like a match made in heaven!
