ninja 0 Posted May 29, 2009 Well, I have been reading stuff on here and I made a mod a while ago but something happened and now its gone. My computer went all crazy but I'll make another. My older mod didnt have cameos which I'll probably fix. And I'll need help on newb stuff but basicly this thread is for suggestions and help. Me and my brother will make it and test it and release it to the public when its nice. I'll probably do alot of changes like I had before and I can assure you, this mod will be different... I have no specfic questions yest although I will. I'll start this weekend. Share this post Link to post
Wildshield 0 Posted May 29, 2009 I'll speak first... What would be different about this mod from all others before it? This might spark an interest in "Help" with the viewers Share this post Link to post
ninja 0 Posted May 29, 2009 I've got some ideas, after I screw around this weekend on it, I'll surely have some questions and some stuff making it different. Yes its going to be balanced and not spam units like some mods. One reason I'm modding is to make yuri not so damn good. I mean good gosh that dude is overpowered in standard version. Wildshield 0 Posted May 29, 2009 Indeed, most thought Yuri was cheap and unbalanced in the release. Most Mods out there adjust this issue along with other game flaws. Some are into the balance others for the uncanny units. There are many ways to go about making one, but it takes time to finish a final version. Share this post Link to post
ninja 0 Posted May 30, 2009 Lol, first question, how do I make infantry smaller so the game is more realistic in terms of scale? Oh yeah, the mod is focused on futuristic realism and balance. A median will be found and that is the mod. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted May 30, 2009 Lol, first question, how do I make infantry smaller so the game is more realistic in terms of scale? Put a concave lens on the screen over your infantry. Any other solution isn't easy. Share this post Link to post
Wildshield 0 Posted May 30, 2009 but that lens might burn them up like little ants. I used to know how to resize them. Don't remember if you had to redo the Voxel or change a line... or both. Though I know it can be done. I don't like doing this because they seem like little ants then. More micro management me thinks. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted May 30, 2009 but that lens might burn them up like little ants. Nah, wrong refraction, need a convex lens for that. Concave = Look like ants Convex = Burn like ants Share this post Link to post
ninja 0 Posted May 30, 2009 I was playing a mod where they were smaller but i uninstalled it and now my people look like giants and my tanks look like remote controlled toys. But thanks. I'll figure out a way to do it. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted May 30, 2009 Nah, wrong refraction, need a convex lens for that. Concave = Look like ants Convex = Burn like ants Yeah but a concave lens won't make them bigger, so there's no other option :x Share this post Link to post
Wildshield 0 Posted May 31, 2009 fine i want both. them to look like ants and burn like them too. Share this post Link to post
