Tiberian Sun: Disruptor Crash Fix

Howdy!

 

Attached to this post is a "quick fix" for the Disruptor Beam internal error that a majority of Tiberian Sun players experience. Nothing else has been changed on this executable, other than the code that directly handles to Disruptors Beam. The executable has also been compressed to allow easy file transfer if people pass this around.

 

NOTE:

This patch does NOT fix the Ion Cannon and Laser internal errors, i am still working on a solid fix for these crashes, in the mean time you can just put the Visual Details level to Medium or Low ingame.

Not everyone experienced it. It was very selective... but, in presumably all versions, if you fire a Sonic beam southwards off the screen, the game will crash.

I downloaded it btw, i got an error telling me to install TS properly or sumin... I'll get the whole error later.

Patch seems to work fine, however i have found a bug in the TFD V2 version, it doesn't play the opening videos of mission 1 for GDI and NOD anymore with the patch. Something that was fixed with The First Decade - Unofficial Patch 1.03 rev 4.

Correct, i know of this bug. I have no plan to fix this bug in the versions i have released. But in my future patch this will be fixed.

any updates on fixing the game freeze up during laser battles.this has been a real problem for years.
