C&C 4: Tiberian Twilight Hi-Res Box Art & New Logo

Recommended Posts

Yea, i knew once i see the artwork, it was a quick jobbie, but it still works good as a template and a poster :P

I believe you and Existor can do a better job than the art design team. Seriously.

I also agree, Existor's Tiberium crystals on his Tiberium trooper wallpaper are really good, now that's what I call a masterpiece drawn from scratch (I'm referring to the crystals that is). But still, too bad the art department team is really lazy just to save cost and time.

The cover art may look like masterpiece on the outside, but on the inside, it taste bitter and I took it! Ooo damn you, you lazy retarded artists, I really wish I could replace you all if I were the director of EA. And definitely that picture will NOT be my poster either as I don't accept copy & paste! It can be my poster IF that is completely drawn from scratch. But in this case, never mind, I don't need to buy the whole game anyways as the franchise already failed me. You can get the picture where I'm getting mine from.

EDIT : Now I really wish Apoc can listen to me by redesigning the whole boxart before the game's release. Sure, I don't mind you all can use back the X design (Yes, I'm giving some chances), but I prefer the whole box to be drawn from scratch just like Westwood did with theirs or even the other game companies did with their boxarts. It maybe only a stupid box, but it makes a great poster.

Existor didn't draw those crystals. An EA artist did.

Is there any confirmation that existor drew the tiberium himself?

To be honest, I thought it was. I'm not a big fan of looking at concept arts though, so I don't know any of it. So in this case, let's just forget about it.

Once again, the box art a place holder, a work in progress and subject to change. Its a basic overall look of the final design but there will be changes. They are released at this stage so fan sites, gaming news sites, print media and online stores have something to display other than a blank box with a question mark on it.

So picking apart the current design and calling them lazy is a waste of time.

Sigh, very well, Sonic, I hear ya'. Hopefully the marketing team better not think about continuing with their infamous copy & paste when they work on that box, it better have something in the upcoming months including better improve themselves for future games.

He used many images of "Tiberium" to create that effect, good blending styles.

Hmm, I think they need to lose the in-game models and use the cinematic models.

Remember this game has only been seen at the pre-alpha stage so far. Would it have been fair for the community to slate Renegade X when it was first announced? You still had original UT3 powerups in place, and were using many placeholder elements from the game your team is totally converting. The maps, models and such have also improved from what I can tell as well. At any point in the early stages, you could have had an army of people complaining that the TC looked crap because of all those placeholders. Thankfully, no one really noticed. But you more than anyone should know that game development takes time. So I'd kinda expect you to be a bit more on EA's level more than most. But I'm guessing we'll see one hell of an eye candy show by the time the product ships.

Sorry, this news thread is about the cover art, I didn't think I needed to be more specific than I was due to context. I meant they should use the cinematic models on the cover, not the in-game models because you can see their polygons and that looks bad on cover art; especially the Mammoth Tank's treads.

It's a little bit less of an issue now though since the "PC DVD-ROM SOFTWARE" logo is covering that part of the Mammoth Tank up mostly as seen in the updated cover.

He's definitely good at the heavy modification to the tiberium crystals!

That's why no wonder why those crystals I saw in his Tiberium Trooper wallpaper looks a little more like which I thought it was his work rather than EA's. It's kind of convincing.
