Prism Tank? That's a new one... looks meaty... in a good way!

Love the dark screenshot though... nice atmosphere and detail.

That isn't a prism tank, its a GDI defence tower. The first screen shot has much more ambience about it than all the other stuff showcased thus far.

It looks like the only redeeming value is the graphics, please continue to beef it up!

According to the official site its a GDI Prism Tank http://www.commandandconquer.com/media/scr...idow-and-others, so its a mistake or something has changed in the game that we don't know about.

Also, this screen shot has started doing the rounds....

APOC has explained why this screen shot got released to the public http://forums.commandandconquer.com/jforum...list/30791.page

Hey guys,

The Polynesia screenshot which was posted this morning with lighting reminiscent of Red Alert 3 was an error, as that lighting NO LONGER EXISTS in the game. In short, a French gaming magazine is running a C&C 4 cover story with screenshots from Polynesia, and we needed to provide these assets one month ago. At the time, the lighting for Polynesia was not complete and thus the screenshot you saw this morning, was lightning that had not been completed yet. That screenshot and a few others that appear in the magazine are no longer valid for the game, but there are some others with the darker rainy lighting. Unfortunately, with magazines, we have to work within their deadlines for the benefits.

This screenshot of Polynesia with the darker more foreboding gloomy lighting is what you will see in the Single-Player campaign, this is the real first-look screenshot for Polynesia:

We do have some Polynesia multiplayer-maps as well which do have a more humid looking daytime lighting scheme, think yellow zone meets blue zone. Certainly, this lighting is nowhere near as dramatic and tropical bloomy as the one I posted up earlier which was a mistake. I will reveal a screenshot of this later this month.

Apologies for the misguidance, please view the screenshot above as the real first look at Polynesia. It is a darker, stormy, rainy, night, set of levels. I think that fits the Tiberium universe quite a bit more than hula girls and bright sunny days =)

lol, I haven't played the beta in ages so I suppose they've gone and changed everything just to annoy me. :P

That new screenshot really shows how odd the unit scales are. Though it is a nice screenshot, I'll give em' that. :) Even if it has pink lasers, PINK! :P

I know I shouldn't really be saying this, but that "Pirsm Tank" is the GDI Thunderhead tank. It's a heavy assualt vehicle for the Support class.

Still no Tiberium on the map, unlike the ones we have seen in the C&C4 trailers which covered most of everything.
