New Command & Conquer 4 Map: Gears of War

Another new map for Command & Conquer 4 has been added. This one shares the name of another popular gaming franchise, it is called "Gears of War". This map is different though, it's the first Command & Conquer 4 map that offers a different game mode other than domination. Think of it a mission map.

The first C&C 4 map that offers a different game mode other than domination. You and your team of scientist are tasked to investigate an abandoned Tiberium pipe work. After arriving shortly in the dark night, you noticed something rattling from the pipes. Curious, you drew yourself closer to the source of the noise as your colleagues laugh candidly at their own jokes. Suddenly, a hand popped out of the dark pipes and grabbed your shirt. A broken skull with bloody eyes glares at your eyes as you struggle to free yourself from the tight grip. You desperately kicked and punch blindly but the grip just gets tighter and tighter as the skull inches towards your head. Your warm breath blurring your own sight as the cold breeze blew. And then, you see a white light and thought of heaven. The pain from the grip disappears and calmness returns. And just when you thought you were dead, you were awaken by a kick from one of your colleague as he holds a flashlight tainted with red rotten goo. He shouts at you and tells you to prepare for war against the zombies. Because of the noise, the zombies now know where your team are. The team is split up and pit against each other as to determine who is the bravest. Armed with only a mini-nuke sniper, a rocket gun, and a jump-suit, you and your team is tasked to turn off the zombie factory. But first, your team needs to capture nodes in order to power off the zombie pipes. And you have to do this while you fend off the rival team. Are you up to the task, commander?

 

Objectives:

• Capture the nodes
• Kill the zombies
• Steal the crystals
• Live by getting medicine crates scattered all over the map
• Kill the rival team
• Recruit the Mastodon guarded by zombies

OK....NOW i regret not getting C&C 4. Zombies in C&C = pwnage.

Before playing this map make sure you read the full readme.txt file inside the zip. Ian Patrick Co (map author) has reminded me that the map does not work with AI. Its best to play it with 10 players, and in full mode - press 'end' and use 'z' to jump or 'x' to switch weapons.
