Nmenth 289 Posted April 22, 2010 Comedy Central Censors 'South Park' Episode After Muslim Site's Threats This is seriously stupid. Also very ironic, and because of that, somewhat amusing. Mostly just stupid though. Don't know what the episodes were about? Check their Wikipedia entries 200 201. Currently southparkstudios.com isn't even allowed to stream their episode uncensored. Mighty BOB! 4 Posted April 23, 2010 Yeah I was so ticked off when that episode aired and was censored to hell. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 23, 2010 Hopefully the DVD release will be better. Share this post Link to post
sith_wampa 6 Posted April 23, 2010 Absolute bull****. Perhaps they're trying to avoid a terrorist attack? Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 23, 2010 Probably, but I don't really know. Watch the episode Super Best Friends. It shows Muhammad plain as day. But that was before the panic 2005 and 2007 caused. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 6 Posted April 23, 2010 Religious tolerance, ahoy! Caving in for radical Muslims, ahoy! Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted April 23, 2010 But if you censor them, the terrorists win! Eh, South Park lost its edge a while ago, now its just. Meh. Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted April 23, 2010 Censoring is absolute bull****, on any occasion. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 289 Posted April 24, 2010 Watch the episode Super Best Friends. It shows Muhammad plain as day. More censorship. Additionally, South Park Studios had previously made "Super Best Friends," a fifth-season episode featuring Muhammad's image, available for online viewing. After "201" aired, "Super Best Friends" was removed from the site and replaced with an apology that South Park Studios could no longer stream this episode. The "Super Best Friends" episode was available to watch Instantly Online on Netflix as recently as Thursday, April 22, 2010 however, as of Friday, April 23, 2010 the episode is only available "On Disc" meaning Netflix subscribers who wish to watch the episode will have to have Disc 1 of the Season Five DVD mailed to them. As of Friday, April 23, 2010 the "Super Best Friends", "200", and "201" episodes of South Park are no longer being sold on iTunes nor on Amazon Video on Demand. It is no longer even remotely amusing... Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 24, 2010 iTunes not selling them isn't a shock. Apple is all about fighting the first amendment. But Amazon... I thought they had balls. Share this post Link to post
