CnC_Thomas 0 Posted May 22, 2010 Hi everyone, I was wondering if C&C RA3's expansion Uprising has ever been sold in retail stores other than in Germany. I know there is a German retail version (with a download code in it) but I cannot seem to find an English version. I was convinced that there was only a German version, but lately I am seeing C&C Collection with Uprising DVD cases. It might be self-made (printed covers) but perhaps I missed something, meaning that there was indeed an English retail version. Can anyone here confirm whether there have been more Uprising retail versions then the German one or not? With a retailed version I mean the official DVD case that had a download code in it. spark 0 Posted May 23, 2010 There was a Korean Version. I think someone posted pictures somewhere in the forums. Singapore only sold the Uprising Code in the form of a Card (phone card size) in retail stores; no DVD boxes. Share this post Link to post

As you have discovered, if you see it for sale in a store its most likely just a DVD case with card inside that a download code. The main issue people have with it be digital download only is backing it up and reinstalling. Well the community solved that issue. For that reason, I was wondering whether they printed a cover to show that they have that digital download or that there was actually a retailed version (with the download code, yes) released somewhere in the world, in English. I know, but that is not what I meant to ask. My question is: Has there been a country (an English speaking country) other than Germany that has sold C&C Red Alert 3 Uprising in retail (yes, I know that the box contained a download code and not a CD/DVD but that is not the issue)? As I've seen quite some C&C collectors have C&C RA3 Uprising in a DVD box displayed, so it got me thinking whether it was printed by themselves or not. Again, not positive... but I am pretty sure there was. Do you then perhaps know what country it was? That sold it (an English speaking country)? I haven't bought it myself either, as I don't even like the RA3 gameplay compared to RA and RA2. I loved RA and RA2 but RA3 is rather poor, if u ask me. However, an English retail dvd case containing the download code with perhaps even a manual (if there is one in it) is good enough for me. Just to have all the C&C games and to perhaps play it for a bit, when SC 2 Beta is off. If anyone else can answer my question, then I'll hear about it. Thanks.
