Unable to find scenario!!???

hi i cannot seem to load any game ether hosting or joining when the screen is loading for a moded map it says " Unable to Find Scenario"

when it loads for a westwood map it loads but only shows my bar loading and everyone elses hasnt even loaded yet i then eventually reach the game but lost connection to the others

i have already had this game installed on this same computer before without problems and last time i played it was before the major crash of server which i think happened anyway for detail my computer runs a

P4 2.42 ghz

512 ddr ram

128 mb geforce 4 video card

anyway... its fast and well built

 

i also have ZoneAlarm Norton AntiVirus 2003 and have disabled or ether shut down them just to see if it works yet no changes and i disabled firewall that xp has in network connections for your isp

 

i did have a 56 k connection when i last played now i have dsl 256/56kbps which shouldnt matter anyway

Well I've never heard of the problem before, it could be due to a mod or something you have installed. Try uninstalling the game, deleting the folder and reinstalling everything.

Umm if that doesnt work what else can u suggest? that i can do?

There's nothing else I can suggest. You coulld try contacting EA Tech Support but I'm not sure if they cover Tib Sun any more.

I have contacted Ea but give me stupid responses i have tried my friends cd key and the same problem occurs so i give up can anyone else help me out im sure i am not the only one who has discovered this crap error

Try installing the game on someone else's computer using your disk and see if they have the same problem.

i have because a friend who introduce me to the game has just started playing again u might of heard of him SkyLegend anyway he had installed tiberian sun and had no problems just seems to be with me he also has cable 512/128 kbps same built comp as mine

do you have this problem even when you are offline and playing a skirmish?

No it works fine with modded maps and westwood maps on offline skirmish just an online problem

If you live in Australia you would probaly know its called TPG internet

ok, you internet looks fine if you are running the Broadband service. So it probably doesn't have anything to do with your internet. I would say take your Tiberian Sun folder and name it someting else like "SUN_BCKUP" or something like that. Then reinstall Tiberian Sun and name the folder anything other than your backup. Try running the newly installed game and if it doesn't work, rename the backup folder what it was before.

i have this same problem! just with tiberian dawn instead.i just figured it was cos its an old game on a new computer.Nobody ever give me any helpful advice from customer services either :cry:

I think know the cause of this problem..

 

If your sharing the internet connection then Tiberian Sun won't be able to transfer maps....

 

If your not sharing the internet on a LAN then i dunno... :?

For me the same problem! When loading an internet game the computer says: unable to read scenario. Should i disable the IPX protocol?

i am sharing an internet connection i have a wireless connection. what should i do to fix this?

but even when i try to play a map i already have, i lose everyone's connection and i'm forced to play by myself.
