Violetta 0 Posted October 10, 2010 Just about anyone who is part of the current generation (people in their teens and twenties) and is a gamer has either played or heard of Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Metroid Prime 2 for GameCube is arguably the greatest game of all time, and without a doubt the greatest console game of all time. Receiving universal appraise (with the exception of Adam Sessler on X-Play who gave the game a 4 out of 5 instead of a 5 out of 5), Metroid Prime 2 is a near perfect game. The game was praised as the killer of Halo 2, and it has outlived Halo 2, which was shutdown indefinitely on April 15, 2010. From the game's 150+ hour single player story arc, to the amazing storyline, to the cutting edge graphics, to the amazing soundtrack, to the beautiful game world, to the four player multiplayer, to the awe inspiring cut-scenes, to the addicting and challenging gameplay, to the game's massive amount of lore, and to the very dark themes of the game, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is perfect in almost every way. I said almost every way instead of every way, because the game does have a couple of problems. One of which being how the game doesn't utilize the GameCube's online broadband and modem adapters to allow players to play this game online. The other criticism is that unlike the first Metroid Prime game, Metroid Prime 2 has ammunition for beam weapons, which I can understand for multiplayer (due to balance issues), but I can't understand why they implemented it in single player as well, other than perhaps to make the game harder and more realistic. Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 10, 2010 Why do I keep thinking this is a bot? Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 10, 2010 At least it has a nice ratio. Three 'friendly' topics against one 'advertising' topic, a refreshing change of pace. As opposed to the good old, YOU BUY CHINESE GOOD NOW YOU GET 50% DISCOUNT AWOOO!! Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted October 11, 2010 If it is a bot, it's the best programming job I've yet to see. Mentioning C&C, posting in the right forums, being able to use grammar higher than a 6-six-old level. If anything malicious, it is just another Ezri making his/her "rounds" (evidenced by the fact that it never seems to return to its own topics). Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted October 11, 2010 (edited) Well, this user isn't just posting it here, but also in the official CNC forums as well (with the same topic): http://forums.commandandconquer.com/jforum...list/44213.page The user name Violetta = TheParty7692. I found out that this user is a guy through his Twitter and Facebook pages thanks to this website in which he's the top administrator there: http://pcannon.x10hosting.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=1636 Although he's frequently posting in the official CNC forums, I do not think he's a bot in this forum. Inferno 22 Posted October 11, 2010 So he's not a bot, but an advertiser. Is that really better? Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 12, 2010 At least we're discussing something. It's not exactly the topic at hand, but it's discussion none the less. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted October 12, 2010 Since only the original post is different, I'd say it is the one that is off topic. Perhaps I should change the title to "Is Violetta a bot?" and edit the first post accordingly. Share this post Link to post
Chronojam 3 Posted October 25, 2010 Once upon a time, somebody named Sergeant came to our forum. We were convinced he was a bot. He was posting insane **** constantly, with very formulaic methodology. Some of his posts seemed to be rehashes of older posts. His avatar was some bizarre image of what I can only imagine could be considered an approximation of a police officer in some old game engine. Things got very weird, as he had references to some imaginary police station for the town of "Lytton". Following the tracks we found a strange forum, fully populated and full of posts, all by people with the weird police avatar. All posting bot-like. But terrifyingly several subforums seemed cribbed from our forum, but very slightly altered. Whole users seemed to have been replicated; "Category5" was replaced with "Calloway" although "Aircraftkiller" was there in clone form directly. It was all very surreal, and all of these thousands of posts were made, apparently, by the same guy. All of these accounts were his puppets, and he was talking to himself. He also had a set of very bizarre airsoft related youtube videos from what I remember. Also, at some point, 4Chan or somebody found and hassled him; he remade his forum elsewhere. But the takeaway is, he wasn't actually a bot. He was just ****ing crazy. I hope this helps. Share this post Link to post
Nmenth 291 Posted October 25, 2010 He/she/it/cthulhu hasn't posted since this topic, and so may have left us... The Ezri I mentioned was a guy that seriously joined at least 183 forums (he had a list) which he would spend hours pasting the same duplicate topics in order to, in his mind, "better the community" with "good topics". We disagreed and banned him, this person's style seems similar. Share this post Link to post
PurpleGaga27 40 Posted October 25, 2010 (edited) Around the time Violetta was here, I noticed this message in front of the CNCNZ forums: Most users ever online was 174 on Sunday 3rd October 2010 2:44 AM It's another record setting for CNCNZ and obviously bots had been to this forum once again. No wonder why Dr. Destiny mentioned about bots lately. If Violetta was a C&C fan and player, he would have posted something in the C&C sections of the forum(s). Therefore I end my discussion regarding this. Anyways back on topic, I used to like playing Metroid on Nintendo consoles but nowadays I no longer played the recent versions of Metroid since I don't own the Wii console. Just remember what happened to the recent Metroid game that Luk3us had posted: http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?showtopic=14367 Edited October 25, 2010 by purplescrin Share this post Link to post
