We can now say that our favourite RTS franchise is officially 16 years old. 16 years ago, on the 31st of August 1995, Westwood Studios released the original Command & Conquer that defined the RTS genre and set it up for many other RTS games to come. Arguably, Command & Conquer is the reason why the RTS genre become so popular.

 

So has we look forward to the future Command & Conquer, we pay tribute to the original Command & Conquer that started all this. Happy Birthday Command & Conquer!
