Latest Forum Upgrade Completed

[Sonic 295]

The forum was off-line for awhile today while another upgrade was completed. There are some new features, improvements and additions in the release of IP.Board. There are still some background maintenance task that I have to complete but the forums are back up and running again.

 

If you spot any problems please report them in this thread.

A quote, posted today, doesn't seem to have it's "quote box" around it. Only the header. Other (past) quotes look as they should.

Yup, every new quote gets the same glitch. I don't even see the

tags or whatever should be there.

These are all the bugs I've found so far (I imagine you've already seen some of these).

 

The reply box does not expand all the way when replying in code mode:

 

Some icon is missing in the top corner of posts ("icon_share.png"?):

 

Another missing icon on some button I don't remember seeing before (some new moderator function? Doesn't seem to appear in all topics):

Did not noticed those. But missing images have been restored. Tested the reply box, do you mean doesn't expand as in add the scroll bar the more type? It all works for me.

 

Have spotted this one, the size of the new share post box is kind of small....

I mean the white space. As the image shows, the white space doesn't even extend all the way down, whereas in the non-code mode (whatever you call it), the white space is twice the size. If you switch between modes, it rectifies the problem, so I only witness it if the page loads with code mode active (which is what I normally use).

Can mark replies as an answer to a topic you create. Its a new IPB feature. Useful for support I guess.

Its enabled on per forum basis. At this stage its only enabled in the Hardware Discussion & Tech Support for right now.

It all honesty, I'm not seeing this at all. What browser are you using?

Seems to be an Internet Explorer thing, it didn't happen when I used Firefox and Chrome.

Well to be honest I've only been testing stuff in Firefox and Chrome. I'm not surprised IE once again comes up short and fails miserably.

In the Video of the Day topic, I made a post with the Cyberpunk 2077 trailer.

It seems the embedded videos posted after the forum update have those black bars set to transparent (forum blue in this case). Is this good or bad?

Could something specific to that video alone. As a test, here's a similar video, has the black background

I dunno, I think I see something below it, about a pixel wide. That's possibly because the black bars are integral to the video. Here's another one:
