Anything Good on TV?

Firstly I must apologise if this seems like a bltent excuse to get people talking in the forums, because it is! But I'm not allowing these forums to go stale so I'll try anything to get useless or interesting information out of you guys so we have something to discuss :wink:

 

Anyway... Anything Interesting on TV that's gripped or annoyed you lately in your part of the world... I'm not talking about international programs that get shipped out of America like 24, or friends, I'm looking more at televised programs made in your own country. It can be anything, comedies, documentries, hell even if you've got a crappy gameshow that gets on your nerves, tell us about it...

Yeah I concur. Reality Tv program suck. Specially New Zealand ones, they just so lame and stupid it isn't funny.

 

Ain't anything on tv at the moment really here thats worth watching. Cept the NPC.

The other thing with reality based TV shows is you can tell parts (if not all of it) is totally scripted anyway :roll:

That'll Teach 'em was cool. - They send modern day school kids back to olden day style schools. This series they sent them backto 1960's school - it was an interesting watch and all the kids were better behaved towards the end and much happier.

the thing that annoys me is that NZ is so far ahead of aus with tv!?!? like wtf... you guys get movies and tv programs like months and years before us...

Hmm.....Indonesian Idol is very popular here today. But, I only saw the grand final. I heard the winner will compete with other people from around the world in World Idol.

 

Not much interesting TV shows here, too much stupid drama but some of them are good. Conclusion: I hate this country TV Shows

Ohhh yey, a new series of Spooks starts in October - that is the awsomest show ever!

It was shown in the US under the name "MI5" you might have seen it, but it was prolly on some obscure channel no-doubt.

Agreed, it was like the office, that was on some obsure channel and was hugely popular.. then NBC decide to buy the idea from Ricky Gervais and put there own American Actors in it to refelct an American office... It flopped.

 

Even though it had the same great funny script as the original.. Americans just are not funny unless Matt Groening uses them in the Simpsons.. British Comedy is really funny to those Americans who are witty enough to understand it, but if an amercan comedy version is converted from the hugely popular English equilivant, then the Americans just murder it.
