Dedicated Stargate Atlantis fan Jacob Yarmuth has built a custom-made, state-of-the-art home theatre themed to Stargate. It includes a Stargate around the 96-inch digital screen, a starscape ceiling, and an Atlantis-style entryway.

I thought it was cool till I saw the Atlantis logo, didn't like that show much it just tried to hard to be like the original.

Was still better than Universe, which tried too hard to not be like the original (or anything worth watching for that matter).

Still haven't seen the end of Universe - but I greatly prefer it over later stages of SG1 and Atlantis. I just can't stand the Ori and S3 onwards of Atlantis.

Universe addressed all the issues I had with the above - but apparently I'm in the minority.

 

Now I'm just waiting for the DVD box sets to come down from the ridiculous amount they still are... so I can finish watching it after the free-to-air butchered the sequence of ep airing.

I think the series got worse more or less chronologically. The Early Goa'uld arcs were the best, then the half-ascended Anubis was a less appealing enemy, then Atlantis split off and SG-1 went into the Ori arc, Atlantis got stupider, but by the end, Universe was the pinnacle of boring and was mercifully canceled before it could get any worse (it certainly wasn't getting better, despite the futile hope many pitiable fans clung to).

Universe was trying to cash in on the Battlestar Galactica craze, but yeah it was just boring.
