PurpleGaga27 40 Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) When Disney shut down Lucasarts on the gaming development, many people thought future Star Wars and all other great game franchises by Lucasarts are gone for good. Source: http://kotaku.com/disney-shuts-down-lucasarts-468473749 I thought it is the beginning of the end of Star Wars gaming after all. The latest titles of Star Wars 1313 and First Assault are cancelled, but it appears some unknown sources mentioned that Disney are considering looking for third-party developers to carry on Star Wars gaming. When George Lucas sold LucasArts to Disney, I thought it was the beginning of the end of the Star Wars and Indiana Jones franchises. It looks like now it has indeed happened. **** that to Disney. Luk3us 63 Posted April 5, 2013 Disney got what they wanted, rights to the star wars franchise, they don't need the rest so they're trashing it. Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted April 6, 2013 I'm surprised, but yeah their track records hasn't been so great lately. Better to go for a clean break, regroup, and start again later. I guess MUCH later. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted April 7, 2013 This doesn't mean Star Wars gaming is dead by any means. Just means it's taking a break. Kinda sucks, but eh... that's the business world. Share this post Link to post
