Gamereactor's Interview with Bryan Farina

Recommended Posts

Being a bit late to the party, Gamereactor has just a few days ago uploaded an interview with Bryan Farina taken at E3. The topics are: generals, campaigns, other universes and possible mobile releases.

Nothing much new here. We've got confirmation that the campaigns are WIP, but will not be in the game at launch and that tablet versions are an option, but do not necessarily need to be covered.

Is it just me, or is postponing a campaign under the excuse that it "takes a lot of effort" just ****ing lazy?

Sounds more like it's the budget that can't support it. I was never a fan of the first Generals campaign anyway.

But just scrapping it due to the liking of for example you (that's not an offense.) is a bad thing for the people who liked the campaign.

On a whole different note:

Seriously... after CnC 4 I think they do need to build up some trust for their work but until now... it seems they're doing a typical EA-Game.

You're joking, right?

The campaign? Oh, yeah, I believe you mean that stack of barely connected and boring missions with a filler some people call a "storyline", but never explains a thing?

Not at all. I don't have the impression that a campaign has a high priority with this title. It sure doesn't seem like it from what we can hear in the video. Had there been an "unlimited" budget, there would perhaps be funds to support the lower priorities as well.

No offense taken. I would rather have solid, entertaining and competitive capable gameplay, than a wacky multiplayer platform with an improvised campaign made only because of the likes of you (no offense).

Yup, I'm talking about that stack. Compared to other titles I won't mention again it's a masterpiece, because it does even try to introduce a bit the universe. Even in a ****ty way.

That has got to be one of the worst arguments I have read in my entire time on these boards.
