What happened to YugiOh gaming?

Recommended Posts

I loved the anime series (except for the later ones) and its trading card game (since I still own some cards). However it kinda went downhill last year and there's no signs of a new YugiOh game to be released for Nintendo 3DS and other consoles (other than the Japanese version). Konami had shut down the servers for good for all official YugiOh Online games after the end of September 2012 and they no longer plan to re-open them again due to hacking and other issues that couldn't be resolved. The anime TV series of YugiOh is still struggling, now in the ZEXAL second series, and I only watched a part of the ZEXAL series.

As for the unofficial versions of YugiOh gaming:

1) The app version of YugiOH BAM for Facebook is still active but I did not want to play that free game since it carries over 700 cards and not over 5000. But I am stunned to find after all these times, it's the only YugiOh game on Facebook.

2) The only other YugiOh browser game that works and still exists is: http://www.duelingnetwork.com.

3) The unofficial title of "YugiOh Online 4" happens to be in: http://www.tdoane.com

4) Other unofficial ones: http://www.kaibacorporation.com/downloads.php and http://www.xerocreative.com/?goto=downloads

I never played YugiOh Online before. I really do want to play one on a browser that is free-to-play and not running on a program online like every other game downloaded and installed in a computer. I can't tell and decide which one is better since there are several unofficial versions of it.

There are some licensed games supported on Gameranger, but I believe most of the people in the world will just say:

In fairness, zocom7 does sometimes bring it on himself. Though, I do agree, this time, Plokite has gone a bit far.
