Haven't listened to the tracks yet. But I will say I'm not a fan of sites posting stuff like this and not giving any indication of the source. It just reeks of elitism, plus it's unprofessional. An unwritten rule of news reporting is quoting your sources.

 

But kudos to CnC-Inside for sharing the tracks with the community.

No need to get aggressive, mate. I think he meant to say he wanted either more music from the new game to listen to, or he wanted to listen to the main menu theme, which kasian didn't manage to extract, because he couldn't find it. (Yes, he extracted it from the game)

I thought the first four EU tracks are fan-made, but in fact they turned out to be real theme tracks from VG.

 

Sonic may be right about one thing. It's too early for a spoiler soundtrack(s) while the game is still under NDA.

In any case, they don't sound very memorable. They lack that kick that the old Generals music had, most notably the US ones. But they do sound more "technological", fitting the EU faction's strenghts.

Honestly, this sounds like the kind of music you would hear in the menu of an old action/war movie DVD. Boring to the degree that it is literally a struggle to listen it through.

It only assists my anticipation that there's still some people in the industry that don't realize how big of an impact good music has in games (or simply ignores it).

It's not only mediocre. It is characterless and stereotypical to a cringe worthy degree.

 

It might be better when you are actually playing the game. But like this? Nope

 

Have good music not been a flagship for the Command & Conquer franchise (mostly)? Why give up on that?

It craves for something to make it just a tiny bit memorable. I could fall asleep to this.

I actually liked it. Given that the old Generals music fits well for the other faction, this feels different and fits the EU. As long as they keep the original style of the other factions' music or do something similar, but with a different style, that's fine.
