Alex06 39 Posted October 21, 2013 The C&C team has just revealed a new General for the EU - Salvo, the EU Artillery General. Relying on the Trident Rocket Artillery and Howitzer defense, Salvo specializes in long-range combat and flattening enemy forces and defenses before moving in to finish off what remains of his enemies. Below is a short excerpt of his backstory. Born in a small village in war torn Sudan, at the age of four Agembe was orphaned and forced into servitude as a child soldier. Despite showing great battlefield prowess, at eight Agembe suffered a nervous breakdown and was abandoned by his compatriots. The wild, starving child was taken in by a passing EU Peacekeeping force and ultimately returned to Europe with their commanding officer, as his adopted son. Existor 15 Posted October 21, 2013 Disliked just for castrated general. I mean, 1 unit and 1 ability? And then sell it for some money? Really? 2 Share this post Link to post
Alex06 39 Posted October 21, 2013 You can unlock him by playing, you know... Share this post Link to post
Existor 15 Posted October 22, 2013 You can unlock him by playing, you know... I mean, who will ever pay money for just 1 redesigned unit? I understand if there will be 2-3 units and abilities, maybe then it will feel that it really costs something. Or it looks like buying for $0.25 every achievement in any game to acomplish it. Kinda crazy comparsion but you may understand my point. If EA wants me to buy something, then it REALLY must be worth to buy. 1 unit and 1 ability is not worth to buy. 2units/2abilities maybe better, and new generals that are same different as ZH/KW subfactions - even better. . Nmenth 291 Posted October 22, 2013 It seems they are going the quantity over quality route, I hope they rethink that strategy before release. I must admit, if generals only have one significant difference, they'd be much easier to keep balanced (I don't consider that a valid excuse though). Share this post Link to post
Gben 20 Posted October 22, 2013 Well it's a passive feature - but the different generals also come with different taunts. So it's one extra unit and perhaps a taunt style that amuses you. Did anyone confirm if the taunts are just directed to you by the AI or can you 'send' a taunt to a MP player like RA2? Share this post Link to post
