End of Nations cancelled? Soundtrack MIA?

Recommended Posts

I remember twice there had been threads about this: http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/17413-end-of-nations-not-cancelled-but-moved-from-petroglyph-to-trion/?hl=nations and http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/18054-end-of-nations-lives/?hl=nations and http://forums.cncnz.com/topic/15658-end-of-nations-free-to-play/?hl=nations

Last month this "on hold" happened: http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/04/what-happened-to-end-of-nations and http://www.polygon.com/2014/3/3/5466746/report-end-of-nations-development-is-on-hold

Not only the official website was gone, so did the forums. Both Trion and Petroglyph took the hit on layoffs not long ago. I guess the idea of a MMORTS or MOBA did not turn out as well as expected for EON. People wanted a single-player experience instead and that was blown up.

As for the soundtrack, IDK why it's still on sale from iTunes. The game was free-to-play but not the soundtrack. If the game is cancelled somebody should tell Frank Klepacki to release all of the tracks from EON to his official jukebox, not go to the archives and forget it, because then otherwise this is Frank's most underrated and unpopular game album ever. Of course, he may be composing new music for Grey Goo but somebody needs to remind him of those old tracks.

Half of what you are saying here is nonsense. You are slinging around your thoughts around things like they are facts on the matters.

You are deleting threads after being confronted with offering free C&C keys for a pirated copy of these soundtracks that you want for your mods, because you do not want pay for them.

Yet now you are pretty much posting the very same thing fishing for someone to hand you these soundtracks, or for someone to tell Frank Klepacki that all of the soundtracks should be released for free through the jukebox on his website.

I simply cannot understand why you don't buy them instead of fishing for someone to give them to you. $18 is relatively cheap for 46 tracks.

On a side note.

In my humble opinion I think you should consider treating the forums here less like a blog where you flush all your thoughts on all sorts of subjects. It's almost every day now you make posts with an unclear subject and purpose.

It seems almost like you post with the sole intent of posting, regardless of the subject.

He did not delete it, I did.

Technically, this topic was created before the other one.

My mistake.

I am clearly too hasty in my response to the thread being deleted.

My opinion on the matter remains the same.

zocom is just lazy. In five minutes, I found a torrent for the EoN OST.

Ninja Edit: No. I will not share where I got it so don't ask.

I don't support and use Torrent, but forget about it. My apoligies. Back on topic.

Do you know why I created this topic in the first place? I haven't heard any discussion whatsoever in Petroglyph forums as well as other C&C forums about what happened to this game, not even the soundtrack. It's like as if the game just went dead and people started to forget about it. The strangest thing about the EON soundtrack is that there's no other website I could find to listen to all the samples other than iTunes. I asked FK about the soundtrack in Twitter and his response was that he didn't know if he's going to put it officially into his jukebox, just waiting to see what's going to happen next for Trion. People will be very disappointed if his soundtrack goes to the archives if EON is cancelled for good.

My best bet right now is to stay patient, do nothing and wait to see what FK will do next.

Edit: I found the full sample soundtracks to listen in Spotify site but unfortunately it won't play the tracks, like as if it's a radio queue like Last.fm. Also I found out that the album was cancelled but that was incorrect: http://vgmdb.net/album/35955
