Status update beta 2

Recommended Posts

In the current dev version I have adding armors et all, objects (units) and object modules (behavior, armorset) in. It's much better now than it was in alpha 13.

Are there any feature requests which are pretty simple and I can put into beta 2 as well?

That would fall inside armors et al:

armors, upgrade, specialpower, science, weapon, commandbutton, commandset, rank, and a few more.

So that's in.

Hmmm.... If you mean just adding a new weapon type by typing it in those modules, that wont work. Is there an INI which contains all the weapon types? EXPLOSION, ARMOR_PIERCING etc

Hmm... those... aren't they harcoded into the game?

I'm not sure if you can change them at all.

Oh... I just wanted to add some, like INFANTRY_RIFLE, and ANTI_TANK etc

i have an idea, instead of there being a 'infantry armor' there should be specific armors like 'SupW_ColBurton armor'

cause id like to have double armor on all the SupW units etc. and then every armor in the game would double... bummer

it takes longer, but u can copy burtons existing armor that he uses and call it "SWBurton_Armor" or sumthin like that and double the power of that armor and then give it to Burton or simply double Burton's health.

Adding a new armor can be done, but weapon types are tricky.

Status update: you can now download build 69 of beta 2: http://www.tibed.net/beta/tibed2beta2.exe

Please test it, as I do not have the time to do it. Tell me what you like and what you don't like, and what is still missing (besides the new property editor).

Primary 'new' feature: list editing. And not just add empty, clone, and delete, but also copy and paste. You're going to like it ;)

And there are quite a few bugfixes in there. If I haven't introduced new bugs then this one is better than beta 1. But there probably are some bugs lurking around for you to find still

Hmmm... I forgot to add Object.Draw module editing... don't know yet when I'll add that.
