Plok 327 Posted December 10, 2015 So there I was, walking from my university to the library (which are almost adjacent) at 11 AM, when suddenly I notice an amazing spread of predominantly 90s PC games, all originals, but German releases. There was nobody standing next to it to sell them, they were just there. I was hoping to come later and ask the potential seller to buy something from him, but nobody came. 11.30 - nobody came to pick it up, all discs were as they were left 12.30 - ditto 14.00 - ditto 19.00 - many CDs were taken, including an opened cardboard box of The Settlers III, but lots were left as well. I decided to pick some up myself, and here's my new collection of (German) games: Age of Empires 1 Call to Power II C&C Red Alert 1 (yep, the cyborgy one!) Krossfire: KKND 2 Heart of Darkness Lands of Lore II: Guardians of Destiny (CD 2 is severely scratched, though). I don't know what to think. Share this post Link to post

Plok 327 Posted December 10, 2015 The cyborg one?As you know, the early C&C games were insanely censored in Germany. All references to soldiers were replaced with references to cyborgs, and their red blood pixels in death animations was replaced with oil. Think about taking some pictures of your loot will ya? I think "loot" is the most appropriate term Here we go... The full spread (I have some spare cases, where I put some of the "orphaned" discs... Age of Empires and Heart of Darkness... KKND 2... C&C Oily Red Alert... and Call to Power II and the sadly damaged Lands of Lore II. Share this post Link to post

I wasn't aware there were censored German releases of Red Alert. I thought all that started with C&C Generals. You learn something everyday Share this post Link to post

Plok 327 Posted December 11, 2015 This morning, some of them were scattered on and around the low wall on which they were originally found. Picked up V-Rally 99 Edition from the grass. Share this post Link to post

Immediately caught C&C TibDawn, FIFA 98, AoE Rise of Rome (which goes nicely with the fact that you can choose a language with UPatch), Tomb Raider II, Settlers III Gold and Settlers IV. Pics coming later today. Edited December 14, 2015 by Plokite_Wolf Share this post Link to post
