Madin 11 Posted April 16, 2016 I am finding this way harder then I should be. I am looking to have a targeted weapon special ability (so a cursor placed on a single enemy unit), that will cause a projectile to be fired from above the targeted enemy, that hits them for damage. The idea is that an off screen support gunship, is firing at the target. Easy right? the issue is that I do not want the typical OCL fired at OCL target area that these kind of abilities usually are. I want the projectile to to be able to visible hit the target regardless of whether the target is moving to evade, or not (so like the standard C&C3 tank shell). Having the OCL track the target, is something I assumed would be possible, but I cannot find a way. Can anyone think of a trick to get this working? Share this post Link to post
Ravendark 46 Posted April 16, 2016 work of the orca sticky sensorpod ability, give it to a building that has a weaponlaunchbone verry high above it(out of camera). You can always tweak the beziercurve of the projectile dpending on what angle you want it to enter the screen. Share this post Link to post

Lauren 78 Posted April 17, 2016 (edited) Spawn a dummy and let it fire on the preselected target, or spawn a projectile and set the ocl to use it as a weapon. I kindof did this a while back during your clustermissile topic...it worked fine, but because the building (spacecommand center iirc) didnt have a launchbone it launced from the center of the structure. But if you do as lauren says, spawn a dummy and have it trigger the specialpower it wont require a launchbone, you could also make the dummy circle arround the battlefield to mimic some sort of gunship flying about thill it gets a order to shoot at things..very c130 spectre like.
