Warmatt16 0 Posted October 29, 2004 That looks familier, I my have seen that somewhere before. Don't quote me on this, but I think it's false. Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted October 29, 2004 Why the hell some stupid people often send this kind of stupid stuffs to me. I guess, I will just delete this e-mail again. Hmmm.......I already have seen 10 e-mails like this before in my mail box, somehow this is really irritating me. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 29, 2004 Bah ya get use to it. They're good for use when spammin someone else account. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted October 29, 2004 Of course it's fake  No lottery emails you, you don't give them your email address when you buy a ticket. Unless you live in the UK and play the National Lottery online. If you're fed up with spam, get a better email host, or install a spam filter. Share this post Link to post
Sonic 295 Posted October 29, 2004 Don't get sucked in by rubbish like this. When the spam hits your inbox hit the delete button, don't reply to it, infact don't even bother opening it. I use MailWasher to check to my e-mail. It downloads the headers of each message, I pick out legitimate e-mails and delete the rubbish right off the mail server before it downloads to my inbox. If you want to try MailWasher have a look at http://www.mailwasher.net Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted October 29, 2004 I use SpamBayes which is a plugin for Outlook, it deletes all the spam emails as they arrive. I only get spam through my ISP's email address because all my other email accounts have good server-side anti-spam filters. Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted October 30, 2004 Well, there are not much spams I got when I use Yahoo mailbox. When I still use my old mailbox, I got bunch of stuffs like that every weeks. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted October 30, 2004 The worst thing about spam is there is nothing at all that you can do to stop it. Blocking their email does not help. Asking to be removed from their messaging lists, reporting their ISP, death threats, nothing works. Share this post Link to post
Warmatt16 0 Posted October 30, 2004 A nuke might work! The EM pulse would at least shut them down for a while. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted October 30, 2004 That might be going a bit too far in this case, in the words of Avery Carrington and Donald Love. Then again, maybe not. I mean, most of the spam I recieve is not even any good to me. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 30, 2004 I find the best way to protect agains't spam is not to give anyone cept people you trust with your email account.. Or just use fowarding. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 31, 2004 I attach viruses and send them back. I'll teach those fecking companies. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 31, 2004 Yeah but the accounts are usually not operationable when ya try. But its something I suppose. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 31, 2004 Something recieves them and reads them as well. If nothing, they at least get a virus threat. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted October 31, 2004 YOU FOOL! The cardinal rule of spam is NOT to reply to them. That verifies your email address and they send you more spam. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted October 31, 2004 I know that but it's a free mail account. I don't care about it. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted November 1, 2004 And if you actively fight against it spammers will mail bomb you, send you hundreds of viruses and generally make your live very difficult. You have to remember that some people who send spam are criminals. There was an incident where spammers in Nigeria conned some people, and those people went to Nigeria to investigate. They met a sticky end. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted November 1, 2004 I know. A current affairs programe did a report on scams and they brought this up. Pretty scary when you think about it, how the people who send you spam do this. I think the scam they run is when they pretend to be a son of a African king who was killed in a war, and you are one of the people who is to inherit his fortune. That style of scam. Warmatt16 0 Posted November 1, 2004 Some people are wrong in the head... ...in other ways than us. I say, NUKE THEM ALL!!!!!! Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 1, 2004 This coming from the man who just said nuke em' all? Right.... Spam and all that are part of the internet experience.... It wouldn't be the same with out it.... Besides it keeps a lot of morons off the net cause they're too scared.... Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted November 1, 2004 lol, but doesn't keep them all off it. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted November 1, 2004 Meh, I have my own mail bombers so I can back and forth against them. I have an email spoofer too so they'll get fake addresses. Share this post Link to post
