BWare 0 Posted November 15, 2004 Hello everyone! I am really looking forward to hanging out here and writing articles for the community. A little about myself... I'm a native Californian, but I now live in Florida and go to school at the University of Central Florida. I surf any spare chance I get over at Cocoa Beach or Sebastian Inlet when school isn't consuming every part of my life, and I also lifeguard at Disney's Blizzard Beach on Tuesdays to pay for my FOOD throughout the week. I love writing (currently acing my English Comp class  ), and think I'll be putting my skills to good use here at CNCNZ. If you have any article suggestions, please drop me a line at [email protected]. I'll appreciate any input! Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted November 15, 2004 What's that supposed to mean :? Anyway, you can ask sonic about that. I heard Sonic needs some new staff including articel writer. Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted November 15, 2004 Ohh.....so he is the other new article writer  Share this post Link to post
Sonic 296 Posted November 15, 2004 Yeah I added two new staff members recently, BWare and Hydra1945. They are part of what I hope will be a rebirth of our articles section. I also added another news updater but he had turn down the position because of problems with his computer. That mean the 2 news updater positions are still open. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted November 15, 2004 lol. How many article writers has this site gone through... Better yet how many news updaters? Just seems as though you're advertising these jobs all the time... Maybe they should be paided positions... Share this post Link to post
J-Fire_Man 0 Posted November 15, 2004 Yeah, it's true sonic, I saw no new article here since CnC King "Armageddon" article. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted November 15, 2004 Article writing is proving tough. I'm out of ideas and I've been trying to think of something good for a while. I will refuse to comment on EA or the community as we've all heard of that countless times. Writing abouts mods is about as stale as old bread. Writing about Petroglyph is not related to C&C and doesn't really warrant anything interesting for people to read. C&C 3 and future EA RTS games are out of the question, we're all sick of hearing about the same old crap that we've all heard over and over again, it's recycled psyho-babble and it's boring. The C&C Community used to have numerous amounts of articles being written every month, now we're lucky to see even one a month. There's just nothing remotely interesting to write about that really gripping and informative. I love to write about things. I have a very fluid imagination and enjoy covering a range of topics. But it's beginning to prove very tough to develop any material that would be worth reading. Unless EA pull their finger out, that's the way it's going to remain. I've gotta hand it to these guys, if they can come up with something that hasn't already been discussed then hats off to them. In these times of darkness its very demanding on these two new members of staff who have to deliver. Share this post Link to post
chickendippers 1 Posted November 15, 2004 I wrote an article about pavement in TibSun and was nominated for the Community Awards as an article writer...didn't win though Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Hehe... thanks for the encouraging words C&C King! :omg: Yeah, it will be tough finding good stuff to write about... stuff that is still gripping/informative/etc without rehashing the same garbage. I'm sure that Hydra and I won't let ya down though I have a couple ideas in the works.... hopefully they will get a good response! Oh, and one question... is anyone interested in fan fiction anymore? I have a little story I wrote that I like a lot. Share this post Link to post
Hydra1945 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Erm, yeah, thanks for the encouragement.... *scraps the 1000 words he just got done writing about the future of C&C (was not solely about C&C 3 or a future EA RTS game but the future of the series (though they will be included as they are a probable part of C&C's future as a series) (oh, hell, I'll e-mail it to the staff when I'm done for revisions and criticism; you'll see what I mean))* Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted November 16, 2004 Yeah, lol Hydra... I guess we're screwed. Share this post Link to post
