Hi everyone, recently i purchased a laptop with the following specs:

Athlon64 3000 - 512 pddr2700 ram, and an Ati 9600 with 64Mb.

To my knowledge, and compared to a desktop PC, this should be more then enough to run the damn game. Yet my laptop laaaaagggsss... and sometimes when we engage in a online game, everyone has loaded in except me...i really dont get it.

Things i have tried:

-i tried changing the standard graphic driver to an omega driver....no help

-I tried turning of anything unnescesary that concumes RAM....no help

- Fresh format

- My game settings at lowest

- with and without Sp1 or 2

I really dont understand what is wrong, i mainly play online games, and when playing against computer adversary it goes ok, but against others it goes real bad... I have the following connection: ADSL 1 Mbit download / 128kb upload, and besides that i just got running on a wireless Router.

If anyone knows what i could do, plz tell me....thanks in advance

Possible problems:

1. Mass Production - Players in online games construct units at different speeds and in different volumes than AI. Perhaps your system would be unable to handle that

Or, the more likely scenario:

2. Faulty parts - The wireless card or router may be damaged. Or, perhaps something (wireless phones, etc) is messing with the signal. from your wireless router. I had a similar problem.

Try connecting with a direct cable connection instead of a wireless one, to determine if the problem is related to the labtop itself, or your router/wireless connection.

Yes, There is a big difference between ATI Radeon and Ati Radeon Mobility.

The mobility version had to be cramped in a laptop and its not as good as a normal Radeon. The rest of the specs look good
