Problems viewing CNCNZ with FireFox

Recommended Posts

Well, mostly annoying differences.

The whole site looks, boxey with FireFox and without it the site looks smooth. The links usually fade from yellow to white with IE, but with FF, they just change. The links in the nav bar are underlined, wheras with IE they are not. I don't know why it would do this, or if anyone even cares.

The favicon appears with FireFox. That's a cool part.

FF ignores the JavaScript coding since it's not built for Mozilla browsers. Personally, I don't like the fade and it's not really much of an issue in any browser.

When I first installed Firefox I noticed underlined links on CNCNZ.com and other sites to. I simple change to the Firefox options fixes it....

Go to Tools > Options > General > Fonts & Colours > Uncheck the underline links box.

Once that's done links will be underlined when you hover them.

As for the fading links, its IE only. I have a new version of the fade.js file that the author says would work in Firefox or Netscape browsers but I couldn't make it work at all.

Not sure what you mean by the site looking boxey with FireFox and without it the site looks smooth, post a screen shot perhaps.

CNCNZ.com looks the same in Firefox and IE for me. Apart from the fading links of course ;)

Only difference I can see is there's a break between the forum title bit and the "Post a reply" bit.

Well I don't see much difference. The boxes around the the text areas are brighter in Firefox and darker in IE. This is probably the way Firefox render text areas and input forums etc....

Here is screen shot of how I see it in Firefox, don't forget to take into accoun the compression of a JPG image either.

I was thinking you had major problems with the layout displaying ;)

I have changed some of the CSS coding so the input should look cleaner in Firefox now. It should be a think grey border around all the input forms, BBCode buttons etc...
