What does everyone think of it?

 

Personally I like it, nice and bright. Although I think it would look better with the white Gaming Source Network bar.

To be perfectly honest I prefered the old darker scheme. I guess it'll just take time for my to adjust to such a change.

Then it would be to blue. The white makes the news easier to read I think.

 

I picked these new colours because I felt they were easy on the eyes. Back only the darker purple scheme people said it was to dark and I wanted to get away from that.

 

Expect to see the forum theme change later today, and if your online while I make the changes you will see some things

 

Anyway, like all new layouts there is still some tweaking to be done. Lots of it actually.

 

Oh yeah, in case you didn't notice the font in the random logos at the top of the page is the FarCry font, a little strange using for a C&C site but like the way it looks.

ahhhhh :x , too bright!! the old blue was better. contrasted with the words: easier to read. Why don't we have a poll on whether people like it or not and if most like the old setting, change it back

I'd say that the headers need to be a little bit brighter as they tend to blend into the background blue.

 

I'd say the say for the livewire stuff at the top.

 

The menus long the side should have the old background logo thing that they use to. So they're like the livewire thing up the top.

 

Also don't ya think that you could have some gold colours somewhere in it like the old layout.

I might re-introduce the gold a bit. Its always handy to have that extra colour.

Since I was getting totally pissed off with the new colours I restored to the site back to the previous colours.

 

When I feel like it I'll redesign the site and make it look better.

You should have seen it when I tried the new colours on the forums. Not matter what combinations I used I just couldn't make it work

Well there's nothing wrong with the way it is... the whole "feel" is very unique and effective. It's a good CNCNZ signature :wink:

Well I thought the new blue one was unique as well, perhaps a little to unique :lol:

Maybe for those who prefer the other one, you could have a skin chooser on the Front Page.

A skin chooser is a lot of effort to implement without a CMS file, or significant changes to the backend of the site.
