Cloning units

A few people have crowed about how they can clone heroes and such, but I have tried a few times to do so without success. Could someone explain to me how they do it?

Build a Cloning Vat. Everyone knows that when you train soldierswhile having a cloning vat it's like "buy one, get one free". One soldier comes out of the Barracks, another out of the vat. It applies for hero units aswell. That way if you have the tech trees of all sides you can build a CV train the hero units and you get 2 Yuri Prime, 2 Boris and 2 Tanyas.

Sure, I know that. But a couple of people think Yuri can mind control heros and clone them. Well first of all I know that hero units cannot be mind control, so I used a bunch of GIs instead. They went into the Cloning Vats but nothing happens. Apparently you are meant to be able to build or clone what you send into it.

If you are talking YR-less RA2 (which it should never be) then it was possible to be able to do that in some of the very early releases of the game, but the newer releases are updated so that can't happen. Yuri couldn't control heros anyway, they must have been talking about YR getting enough enemy stuff to be able to build them & cos of the vats get 2.

He was supposed to be able to put infantry into the clonning vats for money, like a grinder, but with the addition of the grinder, thats pointless. Yuri cant control heroes, even if he could, they wouldnt let him get close enough.

duh,it specificly tells you in the Yuri's Revenge manual that you can't send units(mainly infantry) into the 'Cloneing Vats' to get your money back

and how many people do you know outside of CNCNZ that actually read hteir game manuals.

 

EDIT: The TS manula doesnt have an entry for the Nod Buggy, and it mixes up the icons for Cyborg and Rocket Soldier, and the Tiberium waste facility wit hthe missile silo

now, back to Clonning

 

if we clone stuff (like cows,sheep, bananas) then they will all have the exact same weaknesses. Everyone will be allergic to the exact same thing. Their DNA will be exactly the same, meaning one virus can wipe them all out.

I don't really see any problems with cloning...I'd personalyl like a clone of me so I can make him go to work and earn money for me..lol.

hrrrm that manual gaff is a laff...... but wouldnt your clones want to be paid Acerz?

 

 

Only way i can see you could make multiple heros is

 

A. Your ally has a tanya/boris/yuri and quits and u get all there stuff

 

B. You capture enemy structures and build one

 

C. ..... i dont have one
