Being drunk doesnt make you stupid but it does blur your judgement but if you drink moderatly their should be no problems.

Drinking is like drugs and smoking, only liquid form. Smoking and drugs may look and feel good on the outside, but if you could see whats on the inside......smokers would in stantly quit. Drinkers too, just that with drinking it takes longer for the effects to show. And it eats up $$$. Even moderate drinking eats away at the $$$. And its pointless. A little fun for long term harmful effects on your body, and a drop in life quality. Why??

I would like that, then i could drink all i want without worrying about getting drunk, and get the same taste. i like beer because of the taste, not the alcohol. i like most things with dissolved CO2, like seltzer, soda, beer, etc.

Cygnus X-1 you still havent posted any proof that everyone that drinks alcohol is fated to illness. Ive posted up evidence that goes against what your trying to preach. You sound like your just reciting what your parents or other people have told you without doing any research of your own.

 

Do you drink coffee or do you prefer tea?

 

GeneralZ alcohol free beer stinks, and also as strange as it sounds it might still get you drunk as drinking some types of alcohol free wine can still put you over the driving limit. If you go to the link in my previous post about fizzy drinks and the links to cancer, it is the dissolved CO2 that you like alot (I do too) that can increase the chance of getting cancer.

Remind me again about how people get drunk on non alcohol drinks. I must have missed something there.

 

Alcohol being bad is like saying jumping off of a cliff is bad. It just is. You want proof? Look in the news. How many people are killed or injured because of drunk drivers? How many people need liver transplants because they drank tooo much? How many babies are born deformed because of drinking? How many people do stupid things at parties because they are drunk and cant rationalize properly? A whole hell of a lot of people. There's so many alcohol related incidents that happen every day, it's not even funny. Sure, you can look at it all as a statistic, but when something happens to you or someone you love, it suddenly becomes much more real. And you'll never drink again. OK maybe once in a while, but you will definetly be watching out a lot closer than you ever did before.

I for one am again aligned with Cygnus... from both a moral and common sense point of view I have decided that drinking PERIOD just isn't that great of an idea. Abuse is just too huge a problem, and if I open that door, I am truly afraid of what it may lead to in the future. Alcohol is scary stuff. You all seem to acknowlege that. I just think that completely abstaining from is the only way to eliminate all those potentially life-shattering problems.

Thats perfect. Why walk the line when not walking the line is

1: easier, just say no

2: healtheir, no stupid things putin you in the hospital, no cancer

3: cheaper, no liquor means you dont have to pay for it

4: lifes better without it anyway
