I hate Metallica. They ruined Napster.

Some Kind of Monster covers the battle with Napster. Lars hated Napster and he wanted killed off.... guess who won ;), People were stealing Metallica's property, I totally supported Lars' action during the who Napster trial.

As far as I know, it was mostely Lars who haated Napster. The rest of Metallica didn't like what Napster was doing, but weren't as concerened about it as Lars was.

I've heard SKOM was pretty good. I might have to rent it or something. Since I am a fan of Metallica's old (good) stuff.

The whole St. Anger CD jsut sucked.

yes it did, tree... quite a disappointment. I've been hooked on their old stuff lately.

Yeah, apparently Lars wasn't making enough money. Poor baby

Evil Napster. Increasing popularity of music and awareness of different bands. I'm glad they shut it down. Just terrible.

As the late great Ronal Regan said, "A rising tide benefits all the ships." Napster was good for music, as are the P2P networks in service now.

That's a real good reason to hate something. Good work. Stealing is wrong and illegal, even if it's the Internet.

Anyway, I hope to get SKOM soon. I want those ass kicking special features. Their Live Sh*t set kicked major ass so this ought to as well. Then again, I do have almost every Metallica album (just need S&M). :P

Also, St Anger kicked ass. It was a new style and most of the songs were ace. Frantic and Some Kind of Monster were the best though. Either way, it rocked; don't deny it. Besides, they're returning to their roots: heavy metal. Load and Reload didn't have the heaviness but they were great too.

Watch Some of Kind of Monster as soon as possible. You will get to see all the crap those guys went through to get that album done. Then you will respect the album, the effort put in the songs is huge!

I'm sick of people saying St. Anger sucks, people simply hate that it sounds different, they tried something new. St. Anger is raw, in your face and it never lets up. And now by giving everyone a chance to see the band in Some of Kind of Monster it makes you think, makes you see that these guys are human, they have emotions like the rest of us. What other bands have done this before? Answer - NONE!

Stop bashing the new Metallica sound and embrace it, enjoy Some of Kind of Monster. You can't expect them play Master of Puppets or the black album over and over you now ;)

One of the most interesting parts in Some of Kind of Monster is Lars finally talks with Dave Mustaine of Megadeth. James and Lars dumped Mustaine from Metallica many years ago because he was a drug/alcohol abuser. Seeing Lars and Dave sitting there and discussing their past issues was mind blowing for me.

Don't hold your breath on that one.

I'm glad I bought St Anger. Sadly, the CD quit working on my computers but oh well, it's still ace.
