Coolsness. I'm not one for modding units though, I can't even make basic triggers work in maps that I've made. Read tutorials many times over, still dosen't work. :x But that would be something to see...hrm...a gattling weapon in place of the BF's main gun?

Too powerful....

course, I shouldnt talk, seeing as how my current Apocs have twice the armor, and have two spots for troops inside that can fire out, it cant be crushed, and it can crush other vehicles.

Don't suppose you could have a go? hehe, and if possible, maybe expand the BF's carrying capacity to 10 units instead of five, and give it more armour? Then it could be on par with you modded Apoc tank

Na, I just put it on an even six.....you know, gotta keep the Soviets on top. In addition to their industrial plant (which now makes structures cheaper too) they get the old Cloning vats back again  once again allowing them to build up massive armies in quicktime. Yuri also has the Nuke in addition to his other two supers.:twisted::twisted:

Speaking of powerful tanks, Yuri doesnt seem to have any for the big brawl O' Iron happening out in the middle of a lot of battles. Seems to prefer subterfuge, I guess. Personally, while I enjoy sneaking and hit and fade, ya' gotta have the big guns (on tanks, preferably) for the big brawls.

:twisted::twisted: MAD! Don't suppose I could have a go with the new BF? Lol, although, like I said, I'm a dummy when it comes to editing.

What was the point of that / :?

All ya gotta do for most o' the stuff (editing) is simple, like change a 5 to a 6 on Passangers=5 to Passengers+6. Easy. Takes forever to scroll through the entire rules.ini Makes TiBed so useful, no scrolling!

hum...i changed my blackhawk transport count to 10, school bus to 25, flak to 8 guys. In generals, i gave humvee six slots, and troop crawler 10 spots. I also made realistic the game...like giving rpg trooper very slow rate of fire, equal to the reload time of a real rog, but able to kill tanks in 1/2 hots. Rangers kill quickly, like 2 bursts and death. Humvee increased machine gun damage, and tow missiles take 3 hits to take out tank.

In general, i made all machine guns more realistic, and tank guns more powerful, like 2 shot kill on another tank. Of course i increased building health, to make up for the extra firepower. Oh did i mention i increased tomahawk range, so it fires like a real tomahawk, a quarter of the map. Nuke cannon got longer range too, but less damage. Infernos slower, shoot slower, but 1 shot kill on guys, and a bit more on tanks

planes can kill guys with 1 missile, and take out guys with a few. A mig can now take out any tank 1 with hit. Commanche missile(not rockets) can take out 2 tanks before reloading, and rocket pods are deadly, etc etc

first of all i thought you meant literal gattling speed... i mean nuke shells that fast?! literally nothing would survive y'know? especially if it had some kind of anti-air thing like a gattling cannon ontop o_O i'd settle for the gattling nuke cannon thing... anti-air would just make it invincible y'know?

funny enough, when I first ever modded a game, Red Alert, I gave the harvester a vulcan cannon with nuclear warheads.

It was the ultimate nightmare! 'Stay clear of the ore fields' was constantly in my mind...

great laugh though

Armed harvesters with nukes, huh. The elite weapon of the Soviet War Miner is pretty good against enemies, even without the upgrades.

Gave Slave miners Desolator weaon to keep those pesky Seals off the slaves.

Yeh one time I gave an ifv nuke missiles....it went to hell then on, I then gave the GIs and Conscripts sniper weapons, made Boris and Tanya w/o build limits I had like an army of like 50 Boris's on Bay of Pigs, it was funny as hell

Haha, okay I know this is going to sound bad, but how exactly do you get to (and -then- edit) the rules.ini file? Sure, it's all well and good telling me to change this and that, but...I did mention I was a total n00b at this, right?  I've had RA2/YR for how many years and I still haven't forayed into .ini editing yet?

:D Cheers Fenring! Finally got the general idea, though I was pretty scared I'd bugger up the game and I'd have to do a complete re-install. Which is no biggie, really, but it takes waay too long.

Haha, although, Orange is the new Black. Not quite what I'd hoped (making Black a selectable colour instead of just replacing the values of an existing colour)...but, oh well. I'll just change it back to normal and make pink black instead. Problem is, when you build a superweapon, you can't view the counter, and the messages that appear in the top left don't show up either. Oh well. Hehe, still gotta see what the Allies look like with black beams for their prism towers/tanks. And black Black Eagles

And thanks Z, I'm gunna try the BF-with-gattling-cannon-thing now. And other things. I'll keep ya posted.

Oh Yeah, and my favorite tank is the Apocalypse tank, especally when I mod it

Without a doubt, it would have to be the Prism Tank. Their range exceeds mind control units and they cause splash damage to units around their target, which is very useful in quickly stopping a rush, or quickly taking a base apart as they can take out groups of enemies quickly, rather than smashing through one target and then aiming at another one.

Oh yes, most definately! Although the two most glaring weaknesses are the weak armour and lack of air defence, if you back 'em up with Battle Fortresses filled with Guardian GIs, or if you're opting for a cheaper alternative, Mirage/Grizzly Tanks, they are -the- most powerful. Hell, a bunch of Prism Tanks on their own is enough to take out tanks, just by simply outranging them, plus causing splash damage at the same time. Teh pwn so good!

Acerz, hate to disapoint you, but the black prism beams are white. But the units look cool. And the replay screen is unreadable. Too bad, I got some real good stats.

And Yuri looks like his forces are ready to pwn in black.
