i argue with my sis all the time, if you think this is bad you should see some forums we post on, she follows me everywhere.

 

but we cant exactly talk properly right now, its like 2.15am & i think my parents would be a bit annoyed if the got woken up by a blazing row between us.

 

& we arnt switching, we are in different rooms on different pcs, but im on a network with her, if one of us is logged on, then the other logs on, it logs the other off, which is annoying, but thats how it is.

russia is simply too large for germany to take over, as well as horrific weather conditions, the german army was most definately not prepared for the cold. even had there been no russian goverment at all, the spirits of the people would drive them to fight for every inch of ground... there is simply so much of a large area to cover germany would stretch it's forces before taking it... small pockets of weak germans shivering in the snow, all spread out? somehow i doubt the russians, soldiers or peasents, would have much trouble taking them out o.o; all stalin did was speed things up a lot by bringing the people through the industrial age n.n; i mean we've all been there - rushed by 100+ rocket buggies and/or quad cannons or scorpions in generals/zh... there is no way you can defend off the mark. ...so technically stalin was a sneaky git who didn't fight fair XD; *shrugs* go figure he's got an excuse

Anyway, onto Stalin so we don't get banned. Stalins tactics did indeed work, clever boy, have a cookie. But how can you say you don't know what would happen if nothing changed? I'm pretty sure less death & arrests means more workers & less resentment, therefore the workers will have worked harder. Think of all that could have been achieved if the had been more able bodied Russians to help out.

The Germany army got to Moscow without even breaking a sweat, it was only when the full might of the Red Guard fought back against them that they managed to push Germany's armies back. I have my doubts that a few peasants could do the same. I also doubt that peasants have rocket buggies.

i was using the rocket buggies as a comparison for the russian tanks at the time... and think about it... the size of germany, the size of russia. sure the army might have got to the city, but if they had beaten russia, how would they hold the lines until russia full gives up? sure they'd have more then enough infantry after russia joins them, but while they are holding lines, surely that would outstretch the supplylines and spread the army group out into seperate divisions... maybe eventually leaving in the units collapsing because they can't cope with the climate o.o

i prefer to make myself as small as possible and sniffle a lot o.o; that way people either don't notice i'm there or i get the same level of affection as a purring kitten ^^; 9/10 i prefer the first one though there are times you just want a cuddle ~.~
