Online Trading

Recommended Posts

I assume many of you all trade online. Considering its been mentioned in various threads..

I was just wondering if you guys have had any bad experiences or anything midly interesting?

I also assume alot of you use Ebay... Ebay seems a very large market... Surely things go wrong from time to time no? Suppose thats why I prefer the good old NZ version. Trademe....

So yeah.. Umm... Post, stuff.... Yeah.... :?

i use ebay every now and then for items i cnt find anywhere else. i tried to buy TibSun: Firestorm from a trader, won the auction, took nearly 2 weeks for him to post the item, apparently due to 'business commitments', and when it finally did arrive, it wasnt firestorm, but it was the original Tiberian Sun! tried to get in touch with him again, but he hasnt bothered to reply. just gonna sell it on now.

I've only ever bought one thing; a scart cable for my Dreamcast.

It arrived in like 2 days, didn't work so I sent it back and recieved a free replacement "consolecorner" is a very good seller!

My dad buys/sells a few things on eBay and hasn't had any problems.

Sold my old 17" monitor on TradeMe, the NZ site luk3us mentioned, http://www.trademe.co.nz

Sold a some old CD-Rom drives and 56K modems. The CD-Rom drives pissed me off though, put them online for $1 auctions and guess what they went for?

Yeah you can set a reserve, but I took the risk in the hope the would go for more. I don't really care about them now though, they were of no use to me and one of them was dead I think.

I love those $1 auctions... They're just funny. Specially when people selling cars do it... Classic. ;)
