The U.S.'s Downfall.

Recommended Posts

I am American so I ain't doing this to flame America or something, but I feel the US's downfall is going to happen, like my mom said one day to me, "We live in a wonderful country, but its going the way of Rome". Now I am not worried about terrorist very much, its China. I was having a discussion with my dad, and we're were talking, China has a huge military now, and great economical strength. They control our economy very much, and can dump us once that other nations take on to their products, destroying our economy, and then again, they buy tons of oil now, Suadi Arabia and oil producing nations can dump us anytime now if they want. The U.S.'s military is very big, but all over the place, we can't defend our homeland very well. What China could do is once European nations and other nations buy Chinese products, they can dump us, then our economy is ruined, but we can still recover if they give us time and we become an independent nation, so what they can do is basically fire missiles from subs at money producing cities. Ex: LA, Dallas and Ft. Worth(A military producing center), New York, Detroit, Chicago, and etc. That would ruin us beyond time to stand up and fight and then they could march right in.

Any debates anyone wants to bring up?

Preventions: We find other sources of power other than oil, like the "trash to oil" machine, solar, and hydro power.

We start to create our own products and sell them to other countries and start to dump China, or we need to do fair trade, we buy tons from them, they buy tons from us.

I agree with Luk3us, I really doubt any of that will happen, US's economy ain't at its best and with Bush in the captain's seat....well the US has seen better days, but I really doubt any military action will be taken, mainly since the US has over 10.000 nuclear weapons

And China doesn't have nuclear weapons to back them up? Luk3us, you just don't look at China then, they building up their military power, I think that points to something. I never said it would turn into a nuclear war, but if China dumped us right now, we'd have another great depression. I am not paranoid, but just beware its coming sometime or another.

Well, they do have rocket engines........ :tired: You know, liquid oxygen and liquid Hydrogen. Or is it Nitrogen ?? Well, either way, no gas/diesel is powerful enough for rosket engines.

Liquid O2 and liquid hydrogen... nitrogens unreactive might be a medium or coolant but CO2 can be used for that aswell.

mind you listen to (read it ill post the lyrics too) Gorillaz- demon dayz- fire coming out of a monkeys head (love that name  )

Once upon a time at the foot of a great mountain,

there was a town where the people known as Happyfolk lived,

their very existence a mystery to the rest of the world,

obscured as it was by great clouds.

Here they played out their peaceful lives,

innocent of the litany of excess and violence that was growing in the world below.

To live in harmony with the spirit of the mountain called Monkey was enough.

Then one day Strangefolk arrived in the town.

They came in camouflage,

hidden behind dark glasses, but no one noticed them: they only saw shadows.

You see, without the Truth of the Eyes, the Happyfolk were blind.

Falling out of aeroplanes and hiding out in holes

Waiting for the sunset to come, people going home

Jump back from behind them and shoot them in the head

Now everybody dancing the dance of the dead,

the dance of the dead,

the dance of the dead

In time, Strangefolk found their way into the high reaches of the mountain,

and it was there that they found the caves of unimaginable Sincerity and Beauty.

By chance, they stumbled upon the Place Where All Good Souls Come to Rest.

The Strangefolk, they coveted the jewels in these caves above all things,

and soon they began to mine the mountain, its rich seam fueling the chaos of their own world.

Meanwhile, down in the town, the Happyfolk slept restlessly,

their dreams invaded by shadowy figures digging away at their souls.

Every day, people would wake and stare at the mountain.

Why was it bringing darkness into their lives?

And as the Strangefolk mined deeper and deeper into the mountain,

holes began to appear,

bringing with them a cold and bitter wind that chilled the very soul of them up.

For the first time,

the Happyfolk felt fearful for they knew that soon the Monkey would soon stir from its deep sleep.

And then came a sound.

Distant first, it grew into castrophany so immense it could be heard far away in space.

There were no screams.

There was no time.

The mountain called Monkey had spoken.

There was only fire.

And then, nothing.

O little town in U.S.A, your time has come to see

There's nothing you believe you want

But where were you when it all came down on me?

Did you call me now?

makes you think dosnt it. You really have to listen to it though its great.

Heres another song (2 actually)

Manhattan Project

Imagine a time

When it all began

In the dying days of a war

A weapon -- that would settle the score

Whoever found it first

Would be sure to do their worst --

They always had before...

Imagine a man

Where it all began

A scientist pacing the floor

In each nation -- always eager to explore

To build the best big stick

To turn the winning trick --

But this was something more...

The big bang -- took and shook the world

Shot down the rising sun

The end was begun -- it would hit everyone

When the chain reaction was done

The big shots -- try to hold it back

Fools try to wish it away

The hopeful depend on a world without end

Whatever the hopeless may say

Imagine a place

Where it all began

They gathered from across the land

To work in the secrecy of the desert sand

All of the brightest boys

To play with the biggest toys --

More than they bargained for...

Imagine a man

When it all began

The pilot of "Enola Gay"

Flying out of the shockwave

On that August day

All the powers that be

And the course of history

Would be changed for evermore...

*cues intrumental and amazing visuals*

and this one

Middletowne Dreams

The office door closed early

The hidden bottle came out

The salesman turned to close the blinds

A little slow now, a little stout

But he's still heading down those tracks

Any day now for sure

Another day as drab as today

Is more than a man can endure

Dreams flow across the heartland

Feeding on the fires

Dreams transport desires

Drive you when you're down --

Dreams transport the ones

Who need to get out of town

The boy walks with his best friend

Through the fields of early May

They walk awhile in silence

One close -- one far away

But he'd be climbing on that bus

Just him and his guitar

To blaze across the heavens

Like a brilliant shooting star

The middle-aged madonna

Calls her neighbour on the phone

Day by day the seasons pass

And leave her life alone

But she'll go walking out that door

On some bright afternoon

To go and paint big cities

From a lonely attic room

It's understood

By every single person

Who'd be elsewhere if they could

So far so good

And life's not unpleasant

In their little neighbourhood

They dream in Middletown...

very powerful.

1st song

RUSH-Manhattan Project (Power Windows-1985)

2nd song

RUSH-Middletown Dreams (Power Windows-1985)

another one.

RUSH-Territories (Power Windows-1985)

I see the Middle Kingdom between Heaven and Earth

Like the Chinese call the country of their birth

We all figure that our homes are set above

Other people than the ones we know and love

In every place with a name

They play the same territorial game

Hiding behind the lines

Sending up warning signs

The whole wide world

An endless universe

Yet we keep looking through

The eyeglass in reverse

Don't feed the people

But we feed the machines

Can't really feel

What international means

In different circles

We keep holding our ground

Indifferent circles

We keep spinning round and round

We see so many tribes -- overrun and undermined

While their invaders dream of lands they've left behind

Better people -- better food -- and better beer

Why move around the world when Eden was so near?

The bosses get talking so tough

And if that wasn't evil enough

We get the drunken and passionate pride

Of the citizens along for the ride

They shoot without shame

In the name of a piece of dirt

For a change of accent

Or the colour of your shirt

Better the pride that resides

In a citizen of the world

Than the pride that divides

When a colourful rag is unfurled

eventually a monkey with a typwriter would rewrite the entire works of Shakespear. During the clinton administration, since we could not control all the nukes going everywhere, we began developing a nuke defense system. now, Isreal is starting to get a MDS as well. soon (50 years) the nuke will be out. (and the weather control device will be in!)

All good things come to an end...

but I don't expect to see the fall of America by my lifetime...

It will take place after a number of problem ensue...

-Fall of the economy

-Break down of arm forces

-Broken leadership

All those would have to happen in order for the US to fall...

So, it's not coming soon.

You fail to mention fall of the military. Which will never happen. The US Armed Forces Will Not Fall to anybody. Hitler couldnt stop Us. Stalin couldnt stop Us (he was afraid to even try) the Chinese couldnt stop us (Korea) the Vietcog couldnt stop us (Nam) Saddam couldnt stop us (Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom) Osama coulnd stop us, the Slavs couldnt stop us

Should I keep going ? Or did I get my point across ?

No one, not some military dictator, not some scum bag terrorist, not some futher muking polotician, not some Nuclear Holocaust.

"Marines dont die, they go to hell and regroup"-General Douoglas MacArthur

"If the world ends tomorrow, itll take at least another day for the Marines to start feeling the affects"-General Douglas MacArthur
