C&C Gold Online Play?

Hi,

I've been looking all day for something, but nothing seems to have worked.

I am wondering if it is possible to play C&C Gold Online because the Westwood server is down and the XCC thing doesn't work. I just love this game, it's my favorite out of all the C&C games.

Please help me

noooo its a NZ invasion.... oh wait theres only 2 of them... The XCC thing works for me you got the latest version? is it set up right? you got the patches for the game?

I cannot find any patches for C&C Gold other than the XP Patch.

If XWIS doesn't work then you're kinda stuffed..

There isn't a patch for C&C Gold.

I really don't understand what you are talking about, I installed my normal CnC 95, and i have used it on the internet without XWIS...

I met a man on WOL trying to play C&C95 with me and of course we did but when I pressed Start the game We both got a error message :cry:

Sad but true. I doubt the WOL servers for TD and RA1 have been up at all in the past years.

 

The one I posted above is the XWIS server for TD and RA1....I think

anyway I've been looking for ages and I've got Westwood Online to connect to the XWIS server BUT after that I get this:

^ very nice method to play TD online, 1v1. While the limitations of TCP/COM do make it kinda irritating, smart people know how to get around that... with Google ;)

I know of how to play multiplayer, but thats not what I want as you need to be on the same network, I want to play it online with random people

There are plenty of people who play TS online; everyone at www.tibfields.com plays.

But I must warn you about going over there, I have given up trying to moderate it.

Westwood Chat is working; I just logged on and checked. It does take 20 seconds or so to login though.

Yes, but C&C95 crashes if you actually try to launch a game. Though I heard it DID work in XP Home... it doesn't work on XP Pro anyway.

I wouldn't know; there was noone online - I didn't install C&C95 on my XP comp so I'm running it on 98SE.

Then technically you should be able to play with other win98 or XP Home players
