In a some what related item and yet also kind of disturbing at the same time, from a Guild Wars fansite at http://www.gwonline.net.... they plan on holding a rememberance ceremony for a fake person (game character) that died in the game :roll:

 

This saturday evening @ 6:00PM EST (GMT -4), there will be a rememberance ceremony for Lady Althea Barradin. Daughter of Duke Barradin, lover of Prince Rurik, Althea was unfortunately held captive and sacrificed by the Charr.

 

Mesmers from all over Tyria are gathering to offer respect to the young matron of Ascalon, who often shined bright of her perseverance and virtue. Afterwards, there will be a reception and party to electrify the Mists and bring a positive atmosphere for the Lady.

 

Mesmer-primaries are invited (Me/xx only please) to join other mesmers @ Serenity Temple International District to participate in this event.

I have seen the Japanese MMORPG players when I'm in Japan. And I can see why they are so fanatic of playing MMORPG games. They have been far too binded with the cyber society, but some of the Japanese players are still normal. Som of them might even prefers to live in MMORPG games rather than in the real live, this is all due to Japanese high fantasy in how to get a challenging live.

Lineage 2 is a fullscreen game. I don't know if ALT + F4'ing works to close it. It doesn't with most full screen games that I know of.

no it was on warcraft i saw a tv thingy on it. Im sure you can turn ur pc off. The bot was like any other character but invincible and v strong.

I just don't understand why someone would put a rare object from a game up for sale for real cash. If it's in the game, and it's a MMORG type game, then shouldn't there at least be a couple of other items of the same type and value for the lucky few players to stumble across?

There are lots of auctions over at Trademe for all types of games... Seems like a real waste of "real" currency to actually buy that stuff...
