for Generals/Zh. go to it. I would love to read a fan-created strategy guide

But count me in on a RA2/YR and TS/FS and RA1 guide :D:thumbsup:

Cygnus, you're not one of the article writers for CNCNZ.

I'm fed up of these stupid guiodes where nothing seems to have any sort of coherence to it.

'Well, you can use Marauders to take out any tanks EXCEPT..."

The except does my head in, incoherencies do my head in too.

Fine fine fine, I'll start up a thread, or Acerz can 'Donate a strategy' or something like that.

We can drift through the best ones, and I'll turn it into an article and give all the relevant people credit. Make the people more involved in their CNCNZ

How does that sound?

sounds good.

BTW

Im not an article writer cause Sonic only has slots for 2 last time I looked

That sounds like an idea...IM me on MSN about how we can go about this.

Will do Acerz.

Cygnus, you probably already know who the 2 article writers are anyway. I know I've not submitted anything recently, but thats because I'm working on several things at the moment including trying to get my own business up and running. I have got 'a n00bs guide to the ZH Generals' all but finished, but I'm not at home presently so I've not been able to post it.

lol I know who "they" are

we all got stuff on our hands, and C&C keeps falling back with lack of events.

unfortunatley, the C&C 10th seems to have been a kind of..IDK..hibernation start up.

outa nowhere, half the people disapear. Its goin slow.

BTW good luck with your business. What's it gona do ?

That would be giving away the business idea and would provide me with problems because i'd have to sue you at some point for stealing it.

It'll help students, thats the basis of it...

i aint gona steal it. But someone ELSE might *glares at Luk2as*

Im 15, like i oculd start my own business. Besides, Im going into music anyhow so...

YEah, but some of the people in here are more than capable of getting the business up and running in less time than me and I for oen can't be doing with that.

helloooo on topic??

Another tatic

When starting, use the veteran technical generals power and build a few technicals. Then load them up with terrorists, and make sure they get out when you want they to do damage.

Works nicely with Battle Bus too

 My bad. Simple question though. :P

I'd rather use Battle Buses with RPG Troopers and Toxin Rebels. You can do the same amount of damage with 8 terrorists in a Battle Bus with a couple of Bomb Trucks, and it's cheaper in the long run too.

Some basic strategys for you all:

Tunnel Rush - This is an expensive strategy where you build four workers after making your normal quota of people for building structures. while the workers are making the supply stash and barracks, you have these four workers all rush the nearest town or supply depot and build four tunnel networks. A free duo of rocket troops for each tunnel aswell as the machine gun on the network means that you'll have a versatile defense. Once the workers are done, one can build a supply depot and the others can jump into the tunnels and have one of the workers at your base make another tunnel so they can exit and your units can enter. This strategy is expensive, but extremely effective, especially when employed by Dr Thrax.

Technicality - Two Technicals, Two workers, eight rocket Troopers - you load the infantry into the technicals and you use the workers to make a barracks and tunnel network while the rocket troops n technicals hold off the enemy. When the barracks and the tunnel is complete, you'll have the ability to throw more infantry out, and get another 2 rocket troops for free. If you've got a lot of spare cash, make a war factory n throw a battlebus out and load the rocket troops in it. You'll have a hard as nails bunker to defend your troops while you throw out all sorts of infantry and tanks while throwing more through the tunnel network. Works especially well against the chinese who normally take a while to get anything good up and running.

i'll write up some more advanced ones when I can think of them...

how about Nuking the crap of the map :twisted:

2 humvees with tow missiles, 4 missile defenders, and 1 marine per jeep works nice, but its kinda expensive

Basic stuff and its not GLA Ziggy.

4 scorpions being built in one WF, Scorpion rocket n two technicals in another, by the time you engage the enemy, you have a well rounded force.

See, thats a more simplistic strategy for the GLA.

yours is too complicated lee.

what i do is send 1 technical with workers to all the supply docks or piles.

unload 1 worker at each. at each dock, have the worker build 1 tunnel, then a supply stash. then you order the rpg troops into the tunnel. if you do that to several supply docks, you can defend them all with only 6 or 8 rpg soldiersm, poppin in and out of tunnels

Another 1. get a technical with a worker close to your enemy's base, then build a tunnel network there, so your forces can attacks the enemy base is less time.

another 1: scorpion rockets outrange patriot missiles. use a group of scorpions to use their focus fire rockets, but not turret, at the patriots to destroy them.

another 1: build 4 or 5 missile buggys and have them harass enemy buildings to destroy them or lure enemy units out

as for the humvee...i do that a lot, but i tend to put a pathfinder instead of a marine. 4 defenders, 1 pathfinder = anti guy+tank

be more realistic, dont come up with "strategies" unless you've actuallly used them or seem them being used. thinking them up doesnt work...you do need to be practical

the only prob with using a pathfinder is you need to be a 3 star general, and by that time, you arent quick rushing anyone

blitzing, thats the word

Rocket buggies are good, but by the time you have them to harrass, you need a defense that can keep a foreward tank assault (however small) and infantry back

and as well, rocket buggies cant hit Air so....well, their screwed if a pair of comanches or MiGs shows up

BTW the Chinese MiGs in Generals are the canceled MiG-144 (rival of the current SU-35)

use the bikes from ZH to zoom workers adn a few inf/RPG dudes around the map

I suppose, but those Rebels could come in handy. Don't underestimate basic infantry dude.

yeh they the only one who can capture buildings

Using camouflage on a lvl 3 rebel ambush and then spreading them out keeping them cloaked can win you the game when you capture the structures later on

The same sort of strategy applies to the USA paradrop if you're quick with them, or the chinese.

The GLA Battle bus is one of the most undersestimated weapons in my view. Imagine the look on someones face if they were marching a tank column and out of nowhere, four battlebusses filled with an assortment of infantry appear from nowhere (maybe even GPS scrambled) and wreck the column.

The GPS scrambler is the weapon Generals power on ZH IMO, only just beating the tunnel network and the the Chinese Frenzy. (Yes, I did just say that). I've used it so much now its wrong, and its one of the reasons my preferred GLA commander is Prince Kassad.

sneak Attacks are also good, but only effective if you're catching someone in a cross fire IMO. I've seen replays where people have charged large columns, been suprised by Sucds and other GLa toys, gone to retreat, Sneak Attacks appeared n marauders have popped out n blown hell out of the retreating enemy. Both are bloody brilliant.
