Guest Rabbit Posted September 11, 2005 September 11th. The World Trade Center Twin Towers Fell... A Sad day for all americans, and for others all around the world. I was just requesting to all of you on CNCNZ who read this in time, if you could stop for a second, and just take a moment of silence for our country... It would really mean a lot to me... I had 2 family members die in that attack... Share this post Link to post

Guest Rabbit Posted September 11, 2005 Let 9/11 go people. It's time to move on. It's hard to let something go that you've grown up with... With New Orleans happening, and with this anniversary, A lot of sadness is coming around... It's hard to let go of family members you loved very much... I feel like my aunt and uncle who died there were the ones who actually knew me the most... and then they were gone... it's hard to let something go that is that important to you... I wasn't saying that people had to go crazy and celebraty the anniversary, with a hoard of rememberances... I was just making a simple request... Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted September 11, 2005 Sadness comes and goes. It's a fact life, and while it's not particularly great, it's going to happen. Buuuuuuuut, what I find grotesque is people like to twist this **** for their own gain. No offense Hypno, but what about other disasters where people died? Why don't you have a remembrance for all of them too? Self-interest doesn't impress me. I've lost family members too but I'm not making an aniversary for each one. I've moved on and so should you. Guest Rabbit Posted September 11, 2005 I see your point... I shouldve said it a different way at the least... I apologize to all that have lost for their own... Share this post Link to post

Doctor Destiny 41 Posted September 11, 2005 Not cold. Just realistic, even if it is a little harsh now and then. Share this post Link to post
General Leang 0 Posted September 11, 2005 Well I for one would be holding a minute's silence for September 11, and offer these words. Words cannot begin to explain the shock and grief that I felt at this exact same time, four years ago, at 10:11 AM on Tuesday, September 11th. In America, that would make it about eleven hours after the attacks on the World Trade Centre in New York and the Pentagon in Washington DC took place. At this very same instant last year, I, like the rest of the world, witnessed the reports with feelings of shock, which slowly turned to anger. The days that followed were like a blur, as I talked with and spoke out for those who felt the impact of this senseless tragedy. It is hard to believe that four years has passed since the attacks, as it feels like the world has stopped since then and the attacks have just happened. My thoughts, as I'm sure the rest of the world's thoughts, go out to the victims of these attacks, the families, the survivors, and the brave men and women, wherever they may serve, who have gone above and beyond the call of duty for the people and the country they so dearly love. People such as the doctors and nurses, police officers and fire-fighters, the passengers on board Flight 93 who bravely fought back, and those who have been working for the past four years to find the people responsible for the attacks, and to bring them to justice. Through the past year we have faced many difficulties. The tsunami that occured on December 25th26th which has adversely affected millions of lives. Continued strife in Iraq that is tearing the world apart. The London terror attacks which led to the tragic shooting of an innocent man. Hurricane Khatrina which wiped a city of millions and other smaller towns off the map. Even though we are still very much in the grip of terror, it is hoped that we can put September 11 and the tragedies both natural and man made out of our minds, and that we can move on quickly from these very harrowing times. Cygnus X-1 12 Posted September 13, 2005 indeed well said. I wont forget, and I think a moments silence is well earned. But we move on, and as years pass Sept 11 will be remebered much as many tradgedies are remembered now. It will fade from people's minds and memories as current events unfold around them. but its not the future that matters, its the thought we put into it NOW that counts. I came too close to losing my aunt and unlce in the Sept 11 attackts to not pay attention to them, and I am deeply sorry to anyone who did lose aomeone in any tradgedy. But we live on, and they live on in our memories. Share this post Link to post
