Luk3us 63 Posted October 16, 2005 We haven't had a cellphone topic in a little while now. So I decied to bring it upon my self to bring one to the light of day. So this topic is for anything related to cellphones and their uses and stuff. Main reason for this topic is to give me links to locations where I can "accquire" ringtones. As I'm tired of buying them. Oh yeah. My cellphone. Alcatel 835. Need to upgrade though. Share this post Link to post
Guest MadBadger Posted October 16, 2005  are you sugesting we steal them? Luk3us luk3us luk3us MP3 ringtone? Get a MP3 song and a editor 'Cut' a 5-10 sec clip from the song Stick this cut song onto your phone via PC as a ringtone (norm phone PC tools have an option to add ringtones) P.S ringtones rarly come free and if they do i also wana know. Sonic 295 Posted October 16, 2005 This my cellphone.... Samsung X609 Doesn't support download-able ring tones and that stuff. Not that I care about that anyway. I just wanted a standard phone, none of that extra poofy crap  Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted October 16, 2005 N-Gage QD I know what you may be thinking, but I wanted this phone for ages, and I'm dead happy with it... it kills time playing games on it in the smoking room while on breaks at work. Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted October 16, 2005 Hey, I like the N-Gage. Though they're very hard to find over here. My mate bought one a few months back, only to have it stolen by a jealous room mate. Anyways, my cellphone: Samsung N391 - with a rotating camera....it rotates! Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted October 17, 2005 Nice...I haven't seen that much....anyway, I'm getting a cell soon, bu tdon't have one yet  Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 17, 2005 'Cut' a 5-10 sec clip from the song I can already do that. But I grow tired of those. Besides I like polyphonic sounds for some reason. Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted October 17, 2005 Agreed. You can never record it right, and the song always sounds ****e. Better to just get the ringtones off of the WAP instead. As for free ringtones? Bah, I have no need for them..I top up my cellphone with $40-$50 a fortnight anyway. Plus my cell can only hold 10 downloaded ringtones. So it kinda blows. But sa'll good. Luk3us 63 Posted October 18, 2005 $40 - $50 a fornight? Why don't you just sign up with a calling plan. Tis cheaper. Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted October 18, 2005 I earn between $250-350 a week. I can afford to. Being on Prepay is much easier anyway. Plus I only do it like twice a month. Right now, for example, I've got roughly $300 on my phone... So I won't need to top up next week, or next month for that matter. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 18, 2005 Regardless of your income its not practical. Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted October 18, 2005 True. But it's not like it's harming me or my income. So it's not a bad idea. Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted October 22, 2005 Mabye....but I'd still rather have a calling plan... Share this post Link to post
Mr_Lee_ 0 Posted October 25, 2005 Calling plans or simply contracts (thats what they're called in the United Kingdoom) never really favoured my way of thinking - that you pay for something you don't use. My phone is a sony Eriksoon K700i I'm picking it upm today and want 'Metalingus' by Alter Bridge as the ringtone or 'Flash' by Queen. Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted October 25, 2005 Exactly. The Pre-Pay system is much, -much- better. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted October 26, 2005 Pre Pay has limited features... Besides you get cheap phones with calling plans and such.. Though you do get hooked up for a while... Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted October 26, 2005 Calling plans or simply contracts (thats what they're clalled in the United Kingdoom) Tsk, tsk, Mr_Lee_, learn how to spell  Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted October 27, 2005 haha (that better acerz?), Bware is infecting me w/his correcting spirit Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted October 27, 2005 Yes! More spelling nazis! More I say! Soon our spelling, grammar, and punctuation will be PERFECT! Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted October 27, 2005 Lol, Bware is infecting me w/his correcting spirit Shouldn't that read: Hah, BWare is infecting me with his correcting spirit? Couldn't resist. If you're going to be a 'Spelling Nazi' at least make sure you can go at least ten posts without using the acronym, 'lol', first. Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted October 27, 2005 Too bad it's an acronym, so I didn't spell it wrong Share this post Link to post
Acerz492 1 Posted October 27, 2005 Isn't that kinda hypocritical? I mean, you will rant and rave over little thing like Mr_Lee_ spelling 'called' wrong, yet you will use acronyms such as 'lol' that actually make you look even more of an idiot than spelling one word wrong? :rockbrow: Hmm.... Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted October 27, 2005 Oops...yeah that was  ...hmm, I'll fix that (EDIT TIME) Share this post Link to post
