EA's Shadow

Recommended Posts

Zero Hour Patches. They have been coming more and more, and with the talk of the one that's coming. It got me wondering, EA is getting better. I realized though that might what they want us to think. They are supporting only the expansion pack really now of Generals. I liked Generals sometimes after playing Zero Hour too much, but now there are alot of bugs in Generals and people use them, and no patchs for Generals in sight. Now Westwood made Red Alert 2, but EA owned them really. I think 3 patches were released for Red Alert 2, then they payed attention to YR's. Yes, Red Alert 2 is pretty good, but I thought they could always use a patch. EA didn't push Westwood to make a patch, and when they totally took over Westwood, they didn't make one either. They only really care about their newest game, then once a new one comes, they ignore it, while the players have to deal with more bugs, expoiters, etc. Why can't EA support their older games? I know some companies do.

Maybe this is also a sign to that they want to try to keep us happy with patches for Zero Hour so they can take their sweet ol' time making a new Command and Conquer. Maybe I am totally wrong, but I really thought about why they might be doing this.

Any comments or debates welcomed.

I don't see the problem with dropping support to "older" games. Less people play them so they don't matter...

Though where the problem lies is in how you'd define old? I'd say 4 years would be old. EA is like 2 weeks.. Though obviously not in this case.... Hmm.. They're up to something... :?

Is this a sign that RA3 is coming out??????

Did you even read my article?

Dude, the last general's patch was from like 2-3 years ago. And the ZH one was like 7-8 months ago.

I doubt they can do much with 1.04 IF it comes, probably just some bug fixes.

So what about those less people? They will have to life with more cheaters and stuff. Just because something is older, doesn't mean you shouldn't support it.

Most politicans are old and people support them. :-/

She sounds like my wacko cat that my mom is about to kill sooner or later. She's knocked over 500 dollars worth of crap. ;)

And everytime she does that or gets in trouble, she runs into my room where she knows she save.
