Lenticular clouds are fun

Windows XP. Nothing in that screenshot is trying to copy Windows Vista or 7 at all.

Once again, for Q3 2009 (which is just round the corner), I've spent some them and did a refresh of my avatar and signature.

Thanks Sonic for the CNCNZ font and logo as reference. Didn't notice all along CNCNZ was Pepsi's font. Lol.

As for the avatar, I was going... "CNCNZ, Command & Conquer: New Zealand... aha!" and there it goes, designed it a similar fashion to the classic C&C boxart design sort of avatar. Too lazy with a translucent customised visor/goggle element though.

As for the banner, kinda sick of rectangular banners, so decide to tweak it a little more... interesting shape. It's still somewhat flawed, but, wth.

Very nice indeed. How did you make it transculent? Or did you just copy the board colour?

Thank you for the kind words, D14810. Basically I've did these using Photoshop, with a transparent background as the base, and saving the finalized product in both .psd (work) and .png (picture you see) files. It's pretty difficult to work on my current system configuration, took me longer time to work as the processor overwhelmed easily. Luckily it didn't die on me before I finished my task.

As for the second question, yes I deliberately stick to the use of board colors, the CNCNZ gold and paying close detail on the CNCNZ's blue background.

This is my banner in larger experimental scale:

And this is my vision of CNCNZ's logo, an inspiration from EA's C&C title logos. Yes the "&" in C&C seems off as I do not have the right resources to begin with, unless someone who's kind enough to provide, otherwise we can just visualize the current "&" with the true "&". Hopefully Sonic doesn't mind that I tweaked his logo. :P

Here's a bonus while I'm still playing around with the tools:

If anyone need the above simple .psd files let me know.

Hi there BioBen, I was busy with other issues at hand, besides, it would be quite pointless to me to hang around at that point of time as there wasn't much updates among the C&C community. Now that there's some major news on a possible C&C4, I'm back. :)

I don't mind at all. I just hope your not expecting me to used these in the site's layout or anything like that.... because I can't.
