Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 16, 2006 I do, but unfortunatley in the online world of C&C there are very few stratagies that work time and time again, and other, often more inovative ones tend ot get mauled by the basic ones. Share this post Link to post
_Gryphon 0 Posted January 16, 2006 I play every game differently. I really don't care whether i win or lose. I get what you mean, though. Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted January 16, 2006 SEAL > Conscript force. A few SEALs, Rocketeers and GIs would take that easy. If the opponent is Britain, Snipers rule the ground. Hell, if I'm Iraq, Desolators will take you down in seconds. My $6000 vs your $6000. Game, set, match Desolators. I scout well. You won't have a chance to get that many men. _Gryphon 0 Posted January 16, 2006 ah, but here you are wrong, Fenring. where as your SEALs would work on only infantry, sending a single war miner ahead of the group would take them out. Same goes for snipers. And desolators don't work on buildings. If i garrison the conscripts in one, Your done for. The B eagle counter attack would be more useful. Even if you did find me, what would you send in such little time. Infantry? Conscripts can defend the base while i wait. As well as defensive buildings Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 16, 2006 Desos would pwn inf before they can garrison. And the prob with sending miners is that you are hurting your economy by not having them mine. Even if you have 2 or 3 other miners. Share this post Link to post
_Gryphon 0 Posted January 16, 2006 all true. How about if i send a terror drone or two ahead to scout? they're fast, and don't die instantly when in a desolaters toxic field. I have the drones take out the desolators, then send in the conscripts. Besides, these are all "if" flaws, and I can find them in everyone elses strategies as well. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 16, 2006 How do you beat 30 Grizzlies in the first 2 min of game  Share this post Link to post
_Gryphon 0 Posted January 16, 2006 1st of all how do you GET 30 in the first two minutes? I would use german tank destroyers, terror drones, lasher tanks, or grizzlies myself. Also, I would build WALLS all over. this would make you take at least a litte longer to blast away my buildings, and would let me build a few more defenses. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 17, 2006 Myself and GeneralZ have done it. First problem with your strategy (BTW dont take it personally, I like this sort of talk stuff) is that you would have to know the tanks are there. Second-tank dest are expensive. Walls....hmm. fast build, but not a good way to stop tank mass. I break my army in two and go around from 2 sides Grizzlies > Lashers  Share this post Link to post
_Gryphon 0 Posted January 17, 2006 Walls....hmm. fast build, but not a good way to stop tank mass. I break my army in two and go around from 2 sides very smart. I have no counter. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 17, 2006 I do GGIs and lots of them. Only thing is you gotta have them before tanks get there. Thats why tank rushing is a fav of many people. Only way to counter (because you dont know they are coming) is to have your own tank rush and meet theirs somehwere in the middle. Then its just mayhem. Share this post Link to post
_Gryphon 0 Posted January 17, 2006 The GGI thing is a smart trick. I use them alot but they always get ran over. So if I stuck them Behind a wall where they can shoot your tanks but your tanks can't shoot them.... Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted January 17, 2006 Cygnus, Lashers > Grizzlies. Same everything and faster shell flight speed. You have to get those tanks first Cygnus. Rest assured I'll be a nuisance and I'll stop you in some way through a rush of my own or Engineers. Besides, my Tesla Troopers will own your tanks. Since I scout so well, I'll know what's coming. The whole game comes down to scouting and anti-scouting. The better scout and tactician will almost always win. May as well be Yuri and radar tech as fast as I can so I can pump Clones out like crazy. Share this post Link to post
Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 17, 2006 Lashers have shiit armor. Fenring as Yuri > all  GGIs, when deployed, cant get run over. No need for walls. Great way to break up a tank rush is a mastermind or 2, if you can tech up fast enough (Fen I know you can) Share this post Link to post
Doctor Destiny 41 Posted January 18, 2006 The Lasher Tank and Grizzly Tank are identical in all categories. Yuri's easy to win with. Haven't I said that before? Even a mediocre player like me can work wonders with Yuri's forces. Share this post Link to post
I.G.103 0 Posted January 18, 2006 I dont really think my tactics are all that awe inspiring, if the enemy is soviet or yuri, and I'm allied, get a tank force stabilized or a mixture, grizzlies, mirages and prisms, normally totaling a squad of 10 units. Send in a few harriers to hopefully punch through the defence - smash the radar and then go in while the enemy is a bit blind. It works on my college buddies now and then on LAN, though is not net tested. Though if its a Yuri opponent its normally just robot tanks with prisms for base destruction. Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 18, 2006 well on XWIS your gona need a wee bit more than 10 units  Heck even brutal AI is tougher than that. @ Fen - Then yu need to downgrade your lashers  (all in the name of fairness. A medium tank and a light tank should not have the same stats in my eyes) Share this post Link to post
_Gryphon 0 Posted January 18, 2006 GGIs, when deployed, cant get run over They can't? I always thought that they could. maybe I should use them more often. Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted January 18, 2006 Doesn't it explain that in the first mission? :? Share this post Link to post

Cygnus X-1 12 Posted January 19, 2006 Fen is too quick, robot tanks too long to tech up nad aquire. Even then, they arent that great. Couple of brutes will pwn them. The only way I can think of to beat a good Yuri player is by being a good Yuri player or.....by Mass production. And I mean MASSIVE productions. Snipers on his miners constantly, and you gotta outnumber him 5/10 to 1. Other than that, a good Yuri player can clear a map with 7 other guys on it. As long as they all arent allied against each Yuri  Share this post Link to post
Guest Rabbit Posted January 19, 2006 Snipers on his miners constantly, and you gotta outnumber him 5/10 to 1. I think you worded that a little wrong. You're basically saying you outnumber him by .5 to 1. You have half his units? Share this post Link to post
I.G.103 0 Posted January 19, 2006 I'm game for a battle sometime Fenring, theres just the fact that 1. I'll suck, and 2. I'm in the UK, with no idea of your timezone, I erm... dont know what an ideal time would be. Then again, even if I lose, I'll learn something. ~Edit - Had the fight, lost, had more fun playing than I have in ages though... guess I kinda... threw my tactics out the window though. I guess I'll try and get some decent thoughts together and maybe... just maybe... lol. Share this post Link to post
alleylee 0 Posted January 31, 2006 lol... playing fen was hard... too bad we disconnected before we finished... (we were playing under fen's mod, i forgot which one...)... the demo trucks were annoying, but my black eagles saved my life a lot... Share this post Link to post
