Hiatus for while

[Masked Shah 5]

I decided to re-enlist,

By the end of next week, I'll be back in Navy.

Then to Norfolk for 2 week refresher course and 12 weeks of C school.

My goals will be to get stationed west coast instead of east coast...

My old ship the USS Jacinto fired tomahawks for 2 straight weeks into Iraq... and I don't care to taint my soul with another war...

Unless Hawaii declares itself under Al Queda control, I should be in the clear and not have to worry about petty face-saving conflicts.

I really really want to be stationed in Japan... and get my own place there. This will be difficult, I haven't a lick of Japanese language learned.

Either way this should be interesting...

I will visit every now and then until the next of next week, just letting you know.

Just to tell yah, in Japan, they sell land and houses/apartments by the square inch, not food.

Ya know, on one hand, i really have to hand it to people willing to serve thier country in the armed forces, willing to join an organisation that is made to protect ones country and so on. they put thier lives on the line, often daily, for something they beleive in, and that is worth a LOT of respect.

On the OTHER hand.....

Considering current political circumstances, and considering the fact that the military is NOT exactly well known as a place where a person can change the course of their government, i have to wonder sometimes , are they REALLY gonna ccomplish much? im honestly not trying to dig you or anyone else thats in the military, Shah, i just hope ya pull off what your aiming for -- but i hope ya dont forget that, especially in the US military, they are getting tight on manpower for, as you yourself worded best, those petty face saving conflicts that your current dict--- er, current president is fond of. Either way, best of luck to ya. Watch your back out there.

Good Luck Mate. I hate to see ya go, but such is the way the cookie crumbles.

BTW if you are West Coast, there is a confrontation shaping up between China and Thailand. (I think, might be 'nam) And you know who will voluntarily move in to settle things out. Be careful out there.
