I had a kid in my scout troop with us this weekend, it was his first campout. Mr. "I know everything" couldnt light a fire. AND he had matches. :roll: Little 10 year olds think they know everything.

This kid(I hate him, and still do) and me had been assigned to do a project together. He just was being lazy and I had to do all the work. The teacher said if she catches someone not working with their group they'll get a 0(This is a major grade too) and won't be able to make it up. I tell him this but he doesn't care because he thinks the teacher will go easy on him since the teacher and his mom are friends.

 

Turn in date, I get a 100 and he gets a 0. He got held back a grade for that, and I laughed for 5 days at him. He cried, it was soo funny.

 

Thats my story and it still makes me laugh all the time. (Especially since he was a year older than most of the other kids in our grade too!)

 

When he gets into 9th grade, about a 3 months after he gets in, he'll be 17 I believe.

2 years ago, one of the n00bs was being an ass (most of the kids are alright, its the stupid ones that you hear about). Anyway, he had sat on a burnt log, so he had ash all over his jeans. It was raining, windy, and about 40F outside. For refrence, water freezes at 32F. Anywho, I told him to sit in the creek for 20 min to get the ash of his pants. #0 min later he walks back into camp with hypothermia cuase he was completley soaked to the bone. Why? He went and sat in the creek.

Im just gona bitch about the *@ retards in my physics group.

 

Now alot of you have heard about my presintaion and i tell you it bloody owned EVERYONE elses. Dudes with just black blocks of writing on a white background others with tiny writing.

 

Now i know it owned cos i showed it to some others who arnt in my physics group and they al said it was bloody good.

 

when its shown in physics after the others ****e half arsed attempts at using powerpoint at first i got laffs cos i was setting the PC up and they thought i didnt know wtf i was doin (schools PC, WMP wasnt fully installed and the Tiberium font wasnt on it) then i showed it.

 

Afterwards i got **** all NO ONE said a thing about it NOT 1 DAMN THING! everyone else had people dissin theres or peeps sayin it was good. I GOT NUTHING!

 

NO ONE SAID A WORD ABOUT IT! its really pissed me off

 

Eventually tom.... (Mr. SOB)... said that alot of colour/animations can be bad..... pffft i shot that ****er down hard mentioning that blocks of writing is worse (like his one was).

 

no one said **** about my presentaion. Mark, who i was working with did bugger all...... I just got really pissed off had a go at him and stormed outa school after the bell

 

I spent like 12 hours over 5 or so days doing it and got no damn recognition.

 

I mean it i really hate my physics class most of em are right self rightous tossers, I know its bad but i know if 1/2 of em went/died i would not give a damn.

I had something similair, with my english class (for the record I'm half english, speak it fluently - the gramma might not be flawless though - which I could tell you endless hilarious, but sad stories about)..

 

We had to do a presentation about a subject of our own choice, I did paintball since that's one of my interests. Spent about 6 hours (one whole afternoon ) putting it together. It had footage and everything in it (I was btw the first one to use video footage in the presentation). It went pretty much flawlessly.

 

But the rule was; the class and the teacher give amark, and the average of that is your grade.

Everyone gives each other atleast a 6, so that (when it's your turn) they give you a 6 (on a scale of 1-10, that's the way we do it here in NL )

 

So everyone gave me a six, except one guy who thought it was good he gave me a 9. The teacher gave it an 8. WTF - flawless presentation, EVERYTHING in it had been my own words, thought out myself, EVERYTHING. All these other 'tossers' picked something up from the internet, and read it from a piece of paper with a bad accent. And their mark was not that much lower than mine.

 

The next lesson, the last group to do a presentation - well does it It was sooo obvious they just plucked it from the internet. But they copied the idea of video footage, and played a donald duck video (their subject was Walt Disney, very original btw...). They got waaay higher than we did (me and a friend)., they had read it from a piece of paper + the video footage thing was not original + they had a bad accent, ours was also 2 times as long.

I remember in freshman year (14/15 yrs old) we had to do biology presentations, grading was similar, student and teacher. Students gave everyone pretty much an 8 or 9 out of 10. BUt when the floor was opened up for questions after each presentation, myself and one of my friends, even though we knew most of the answers, just bombarded the groups with questio n after question to see if they were prepared. Turns out, they didnt know hlaf of their material, and even though it took 3 days to do all of the presentations, even the groups on the last day were still surprised that we just kept asking and asking questions.

 

In the end, our group got a small bonus (5% upgrade) and the other groups lost more points because they couldnt field our questions very well.

 

A lot of people were'nt very happy with us, but we told them it was a fair game, they could have done it to us.
