Ok, I know...the name doesn't make it sound that fun...but here's a video of it....Spore

 

Now, having watched it, how do you like it??? It looks VERY fun, and I can't wait for it to come out....here's the site : http://spore.com/

 

Now, I know the graphics in the video were crappy, but if you look at the screenshots on the site, you can see just how much they've improved....the only bad part about the game is that EA owns the copyright, as usual.....however, the first game (if there turns out to be more than one) looks extremely good....any comments???

It's one of those unique games that'll forever be remembered, because no one will ever pull a game off like it again. It's like Black and white. Although I still do't know enough about this game, I think it'll be game of the year because of it's sheer originality. C&C was like that once.... depends if it's a formula that works.

 

It'd be great to see another game Genre. I dunno when it'll come about, but it'd be great to experience a game, like Dune 2 that brings something so fresh and new. Maybe we'll find it someday.... It just takes inspiration, like all inventions do.

Well, you're probably right about the fact that it'll only work once, but that would be cool if it was as successful as C&C in its own genre

yeah looks really interesting. looks a bit cartoony but that could be just because of the designs shown. Only other thing im not sure about is once you are up to the point in the game its mostly just exploring other people worlds which may get a bit borring.

id probably buy it because like some say its original...and plus thats so cool that you can make your own species....and if it gets boring i guess you can start over with another species rite?

Yeah, there are virtually unlimited designs for creatures, so that part wouldn't get boring unless you have no imagination :wink:

It actually made me think about the 'intelligent design theory'. This could be how 'they' simulated it

 

Game is indeed very original, this one breaks the 'always need good multiplayer' -rule for me..
