Inferno 22 Posted May 15, 2006 I'd definately go for the Nod campaign first. What about you folks? Share this post Link to post
PolterGeist 0 Posted May 15, 2006 Iv'e allways chosen GDI first, Heres why. (Feel free to flame me if you wish ^^) GDI's Campaigns seem to be a little more in depth and thought out, in my opinion. Even though i like NOD Better. I still can't wait for this game all though so many are being so nagative about it i think theres still alot of hope and potential that it won't be just a Generals 2 knock off, we havn't been showen alot simply because they don't want to give every thing away =) "I hope !". Hears to both amazing and challenging NOD and GDI Campaigns! "Also my old account died so some of you might remember me by WeReWoLf". Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted May 15, 2006 This game will be similar to Starcraft/Warcraft 3 style of faction selection. Therefore you have to complete the GDI Campaign before you move onto Nod, and then completing that before moving onto the Scrin. So you see dude, that completely kills your topic! Share this post Link to post
PolterGeist 0 Posted May 15, 2006 WTH? i eddited mine after reading the updates on C&C 3, but it didn't edit.. Oh well that's what i get i guess ^^;. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 16, 2006 haha, yeah, from the interviews and such, what King is saying sounds about right. Share this post Link to post

BWare 0 Posted May 16, 2006 That's really interesting... definitely a first for a C&C! I like it. I like it a lot. Share this post Link to post
PolterGeist 0 Posted May 16, 2006 Yes indeed GDI is allways my first pick, but this is interesting indeed i can't wait to see how this is all going to work out. Share this post Link to post
TheBlackOut 7 Posted May 17, 2006 Whats with all you do gooders? Meh, I would pick Nod first this time to see Kane fast. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 17, 2006 Hm... If I'm free to choose, it would be Nod... Bad guys first, but with what King said... Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted May 17, 2006 I don't like where this is going... I HAVE to play GDI first??? I will NEVER betray the brotherhood! Meh, I also remember this crap with Age of Mythology. I got bored of playing one side the whole time. Share this post Link to post
Saracen 16 Posted May 17, 2006 I've got to the stage in my RTS gaming where I'd prefer to play an entire side before I play the next. Maybe the campaigns will play out like a movie where certain twists and turns in the plot are revealed at key times. So if you could technically play Nod, the events of the storyline will not make sense unless you play it in order. It's like trying to understand the whole story of the Matrix by watching The Matrix Reloaded before watching the first film. EA will do it in a way so that when we do play the game, we'll be dying to know what went on at a particular point in the GDI campaign, and we'll probably have questions that need answering. And if the storytelling is very good....; There will be one big question that we'll have on our minds from the beginning, and it won't be answered until the very end of the Scrin Campaign. Only then to have the game finish on a knife edge! There's a great incentive to play them all. If only EA play their cards right. Share this post Link to post
PolterGeist 0 Posted May 17, 2006 Never said any one "HAD" To play GDI first, that's just my own opinion on the subject =)' ever sence the first C&C' iv'e allways played GDI first so it's second nature to me =). Share this post Link to post
Inferno 22 Posted May 17, 2006 I always start with the Nod campaign. When I'm about half the way, I start the GDI campaign. So when I finish the Nod one, I only have to do have the GDI campaign. I guess it's also a bit "knowing the enemy" and I like a change once in while. Share this post Link to post
BWare 0 Posted May 17, 2006 Bingo King. This will be the PERFECT vehicle for delivering a good, solid storyline. No more of those "if Nod won, then..." scenarios. Just one cohesive story. I like it Share this post Link to post
PolterGeist 0 Posted May 17, 2006 Me as well maybe EA is really doing this right? Inviting MIT scientist to study tibarium, cohesive story line, Game play that adapts to you, tactical choices. This game may very well be as good, or better than TS (Dew nawt Flame meeeeeee!) <---- Grammer HAcker!. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 18, 2006 Yeah, it makes sense because all the old C&C games had you scratching your head what is the canonical story until EA decides the ending themselves... Share this post Link to post
Alphabear 11 Posted May 18, 2006 The problem is that you cant play through your chosen faction leading them to victory. eg if GDI goes first then Nod then the Scrin either the last mission in the storyline is the scrin victory or orcestrating the scrin retreat in which case im not leading GDI to victory. Share this post Link to post
Luk3us 63 Posted May 18, 2006 You're be able to lead GDI to victory in their campagin. After that, whatever happens is what happens. Share this post Link to post
Azrael 0 Posted May 18, 2006 Starcraft employs the same campagin style, the only difference is that there was no very real "defeat"... I mean they all survived... Share this post Link to post
F15pilotX 4 Posted June 2, 2006 I've got to the stage in my RTS gaming where I'd prefer to play an entire side before I play the next. That's exactly my point of view. True, it was frustrating at times in Starcraft where I had to wait to play my favorite side, but it made it much more interesting in the end. Share this post Link to post
