Expectations

I know I am a noob here, but I have been playing C&C since it first came out and I just wanted to post what i have been thinking C&C 3 should include.

 

Moveable Ion Cannon beam as in Generals, not just a single blast.

 

Abilty to build anywhere, not just in the vicinity of your other buildings

 

Teams that have advantages over the other, not each team has a tank that has the same hp

 

Tanks can kill infantry!!!!! in real life, if a solider gets shot by a tank he dies, he doesnt just get knicked and continue to unload on a tank with a machine gun

 

WALLS, something that has been forgotten in generals, the abilty to build walls around your base.

 

Amazing Graphics and physics where anything and everything on the map is destroyable

 

Finally, Harvesters that can carry alot of Tiberium, not just 1 patch

Ah, a Twisted Metal fan I see! Very nice :)

 

My expectations: It must be the best, most ground breaking video game ever conceived. It must whiten my teeth and balance my check book while I sleep. It should also walk and feed my dog. It must be perfection it 1s and 0s... an absolute masterpiece, a perfect blend of function, fun, and art. If it fails to live up to these obscenely high standards, I will bitch and moan at EA for the rest of my life. [/my imitation of some of you diehard anti EA folks :lol:]

 

 

 

But yeah, seriously, what I expect is the fun, fast paced, "C&C feel" game that we've been promised and have been waiting on for a long while now. My hope is that they remain true to the story and do the C&C legacy justice, but I'm not sure how faithful it will be in that regard. We shall see.....

Yeah, like in TS. Titan> Tick Tank though in large numbers Tick Tank > Titan

No, unbalanced.

Yup, that's a definite standard. I'm too lazy to build these anyway, but they should at least be in the game.

Yeah, generals already had that much more than the previous games. Though tanks could drive trough certain things, without damaging it. And if you selected a unit (a dozer, for example) and you moved it somewhere, it could somehow drive trough the Contsruction Yard/War Factory.

 

Finally, Harvesters that can carry alot of Tiberium, not just 1 patch

No.. No bad dozer boy! J/K, but really please no Dozer build any where it takes away from how the Tibarium universe works just keep it for Generals 2. If by "Advanteges" you mean "Titan/Tick Tank" type of thing than yes, NOD has diffrent technologies than GDI so they obviously have some advanteges *Cough*Lazrus*Cough*.

 

Every thing else however sounds pretty good =), nice job on the Expectations my top expectation is that they keep on a good track with the Tibarium story line and please don't try to ravege it to your own EA needs. Though by the sounds of things their trying =).

I dont want dozers but i dont want to have to build a trail of silos to build defense at a bridge, that annoys the **** out of me

Build a second MCV? That's the beauty of C&C' and how it's stratigy works, maybe they could let you have mobile defence structurs like that old Westwood GDI video with the Mobile artilary =).

True but still, reguiring buildings to be within such a close proximity is idiotic.

Build a carry-all and a MCV and you'll be fine. If you're NOD then you're ****ed :wink:

The game shouldn't be ALL defense building choke points (a la generals). Those are designed solely for base defense..... beachheads and other defensive points OUTSIDE of the base should be handled by good old fashioned units, the way God intended it :P

 

Either that or, yes, build a second MCV and get crackin on a second base. The dozers suck. They nearly completely destroy the classic C&C formula, so I will be very upset if they make another appearance.... though I really doubt that they will. How could they possibly work in conjunction with the sidebar? :?

I hope they bring back the Cyborg Reaper for NOD, that thing was the coolest unit they had. Hopefully it will be alot more powerful. Maybe it would also be cool to have an MKIII along with the Mammoth tanks

It kinda sucks to say this, but the generals formula but then instead of everything in the lower screen, in the sidebar. This idea definately concerns me regarding all the mammoth tanks coming out at the same time out of all the war factories (you know, the screenie).

 

Oh well. At least the sonic and railguns will be coming back.

I liked the rail guns, maybe the mammoth tank will have a mounted rail gun for anti infantry or shotting down missles, similar to the paladin in Generals, would only be fitting for the mammoth tank to be nearly indestrutable. I also would like to see the Cyborg Commando return, he was the muscle of NOD.

Part of the EA update said that the mammoth tank can be upgreaded with duel rail guns over time, i do hope however that there is more than "One Gient Mech" For GDI i mean as others have said... Why would they De-grade there technology back to tanks?.

Its not neccesarily a downgrade to tanks. Tanks have a lower profile, thus less target area. Tanks would be cheaper to produce as well, which is probably a good thing considering GDI is a small force in C&C3

Well, if the mammoth has huge rapid fire cannons and rail guns i wouldnt call that a downgrade, and i am sure they will have the good ole Titan and other mechs since they will need the protection in Red zones.

Down grade in technology rights yes, it is a "Step down" from a mechinized walker/battle mech whatever you want to call it, force size and recources may be an issue with them and they have to use the tank ( I love the mammoth tank so whatever =) At least it's all sleek and sexy now, yet still big and intemedating.
