Point system

You know what would be interesting? A point system.

 

At the bottom of everyone's signature, we all start with 10 points, so we write "10 Points" Or some thing along the lines of that. We'd all have to be honest though.

 

 

Then, if we did something the mods/admins like, you guys would change our siggies to raise a point, or if we were being stupid, we'd lose points.

 

Maybe we could also donate points. But, not all of them, cause that's cheap.

 

 

And, I dunno, it has no reason to it, I think it would just be an interesting little game.

Points/credits are bad ideas. They just lead to massive spam attacks and system abuse. You should have seen it on the C&C Guild. Everyone had billions of credits.

Points/Kudos/Rep systems are total wastes of time and serve no real purpose other than to inflat the big egos of those who really care about them.

We already have postcount/rank, and there have been times when that has gooten close to being out of hand. Its just there as an interesting stat. Not a competition.

If your emotional stability depends on postcount or rep points, you don't need to be here. Those are really the only people who care about them.

 

If this was a marketplace forum, I'd be fine with a little "Trader Rating" thing like eBay has. But we're not, so that's the end of that.

 

 

 

Plus, those mods are always hell to install.
