BWare 0 Posted June 9, 2006 Have you... read one? Coulter's quotes (as usual) are taken almost entirely out of context in this case, and I pretty much happen to agree with her in this instance. The widows she is referring to- the "Jersey girls"- are a handful of women out of the thousands of widows created by 9/11 who have in fact become minor celebrities because of their outspoken Bush bashing. When you see these women posing in Vanity Fair, driving around in limos, making tons of money, and spewing DNC talking points from their "untouchable" place as 9/11 widows.... you'd really be a fool to just dismiss Coulter's points out of hand. She said that they are currently enjoying their celebrity status... and all the evidence supports her in that. Wow. I remember the conversation in which she distinctly said that Canada was lucky to be in North America and that Canada was lucky we let them exist. She never said that they don't deserve to exist... again, I ask that you anti-Coulter folks at least get the quotes right! Anyways, even if she did say that Canada "doesn't deserve to exist", the point shouldn't be instantly disregarded. Depending on what reasoning she offers, it could be worth consideration. Who knows? Be mindful, it's not what she says but how she says it. Okay, yeah, she is definitely far too blunt sometimes in what she says- no question. I personally love it- it's just so shocking. It's the antithesis of the sterile PC movement, which is kind of fun to read, but yes, it is often insensitive and nutty (although I will defend up and down the logic behind most of what she says).
